Okay, so I love the names [name_m]Xander[/name_m] and [name_m]Zane[/name_m] but I am worried their names will sound too matchy matchy when spoken aloud like when I am talking about them with my writer friend
If their full names change anything they are
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] nn [name_m]Xander[/name_m]
And
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
Sometimes [name_m]Zane[/name_m] and [name_m]Xander[/name_m] refer to each other as Z and X respectively, but that is a rare nickname and typically only happens when one of them are scared. They are also not twins, [name_m]Xander[/name_m] is sixteen months older than [name_m]Zane[/name_m].

Yes, they do sound matchy, but not overwhelmingly so. I wouldn’t confuse one for the other as both names carry distinct personalities to me. Together, their matchiness sounds like that of an iconic duo, à la [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and [name_f]Leia[/name_f], [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f], [name_f]Deedee[/name_f] and [name_m]Dexter[/name_m], etc- if that’s a vibe you’re okay with.
Yeah I really like them together and believe they could be a iconic duo name but as I was talking it over with one of my writer friends they brought up their concerns about [name_m]Xander[/name_m] and [name_m]Zane[/name_m] being too similar so I figured here would be a good place to go for advice on character names since I have been aided before in character naming {Mostly my character [name_f]Raine[/name_f] who was renamed to [name_m]Malakai[/name_m] after someone suggested [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] for his name}
