I’m so delighted to say that we’re expecting a boy! We have a little girl [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] (middle names [name_f]Anne[/name_f] Hazel) but we’re really stuck on boys.
[name_f][/name_f]
We have: [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Morgan[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]River[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Sonny[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jude[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]
We just can’t agree on which we like the best. We live in [name_f]England[/name_f] and I don’t like top 10 names. Middle names will be [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m] or [name_m]Clive[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] and the surname begins with an M.
You’d have a lovely lot of alliteration if baby brother also had an M name like [name_m]Morgan[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Morgan[/name_m] has a lovely meaning too. I’d probably go for [name_m]Morgan[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m] M___ [name_f][/name_f]. If there’s a possibility you’d have a third child, would you feel restricted to choosing another M name? I don’t think you should feel that way, but just something to consider.

Some thoughts on each name ~
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Morgan[/name_m]: in addition to above, it sounds distinct from [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], so I don’t think you’d mix them up too often. [name_f][/name_f][name_m]River[/name_m]: one of my all time favourites. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] imagery and gentle vibes. [name_m]River[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] M_ would be so handsome. Siblings would share the v in their name which is a nice connection but too subtle to be something you’d need to continue if you had a third. [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Sonny[/name_m]: so bright and happy! Brings out the bright and playful side of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] for me. [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Isaac[/name_m]: A classic with a beautiful meaning. Goes well with [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] even though I find them quite different names, they complement one another. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] and [name_m]Clive[/name_m] all have long i sounds. You might like, dislike or feel neutral about that, just something to consider with the name flow. [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jude[/name_m]: very cool, would make a really snazzy sibling set.
[name_f][/name_f]
Suggestions: [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Sullivan[/name_m], could have nn [name_m]Sonny[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Sutton[/name_f], ditto [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Remy[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Beck[/name_m], another river meaning name and one syllable like [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Love[/name_f] the above idea of [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] too
From your list I love [name_m]River[/name_m], [name_m]Sonny[/name_m] & [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] from the list [name_f][/name_f] and I think they would be bright and joyous with your daughter Maev3.
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] is my number one choice for you he’s handsome, peaceful, has a naturally sunny disposition helped by his meaning laughter and feels timeless. I think he’s the most fitting with Maev3 and sounds great with [name_m]Clive[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]River[/name_m] is a fashionable choice that is outdoorsy and has pretty relaxing imagery attached. I love being by water so this name really appeals to me. Within the UK he ranks outside the top 100 (at #131[name_f][/name_f] with the charts) so feels of a similar vibe to Maev3. I think [name_m]River[/name_m] is gorgeous and would sound great with [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Sonny[/name_m] is a fun outdoorsy choice that feels happy and has a boyish flair. [name_m]Sonny[/name_m] I think again feels fashionable with Maev3 and very [name_f]British[/name_f]. I think [name_m]Sonny[/name_m] feels a little more predictable as he is for me more common especially as there are so many ways to spell [name_m]Sonny[/name_m]. At my daughter’s preschool there is [name_f]Sunny[/name_f], [name_f]Sunnie[/name_f] & [name_m]Sonny[/name_m]. For me popularity isn’t a huge issue and [name_f][/name_f] I do love him but I think it’s worth noting.
I love the idea of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_m]Jude[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m]!
From your list, I really like [name_m]Morgan[/name_m] (big alliteration fan!), [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], and [name_m]Jude[/name_m]. [name_m]Jude[/name_m] is quite popular in the UK though, right? I especially like [name_m]Morgan[/name_m] and [name_m]Jude[/name_m] with the chosen middle names.
[name_m]Loving[/name_m] this list! With [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], I absolutely adore the options of [name_m]River[/name_m][name_f][/name_f] & [name_m]Morgan[/name_m]!!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from your list is [name_m]Sonny[/name_m]. [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] & [name_m]Sonny[/name_m] sound so lovely together!
[name_f][/name_f]
Some ideas for a sibling to [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]: [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jensen[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f][/name_f] could have the nickname [name_m]Sonny[/name_m] from this, especially if you spell it [name_m]Jenson[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Elias[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Franklin[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Albie[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Otto[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Asa[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- although might be too close to sex education as the characters are [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] & [name_m]Otis[/name_m], but the actor that plays [name_m]Otis[/name_m] is called [name_m]Asa[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Quinn[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Bertie[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Cedric[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Abel[/name_m]
From your list I like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_m]Morgan[/name_m] best, both with the [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m] middles order.
[name_f][/name_f]
I adore [name_m]Jude[/name_m] but do think it’s a bit popular and I believe is number 15 in [name_f]England[/name_f] so very close to that top 10 if that is a concern for you
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is lovely! [name_f][/name_f] I really like [name_m]Morgan[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Jude[/name_m], and [name_m]River[/name_m] with her; here’s a few other ideas:
[name_f]My[/name_f] faves are [name_m]Morgan[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] and [name_m]Jude[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- I think they’ve got the same poetic and literary but also hefty and “good for all ages and stages” qualities as [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I like [name_m]River[/name_m] though too [name_f][/name_f]- [name_m]River[/name_m] from Slow Horses has brought it back to mind and it’s very spunky and likeable. I like [name_m]Sonny[/name_m] and as PP said, it lightens up [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f][/name_f] but prefer it as a nickname. It’s a little too cute for me.
[name_f][/name_f]
Here are some combos:
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Morgan[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] M [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- maybe not the best flow? (But NB first name to last name matters most) [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Jude[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]River[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] [name_m]Clive[/name_m]
