I’m looking for opinions on a third boy name for our future little guy. We miscarried back in [name_u]August[/name_u] so we don’t want to use the names we would have for that child. Our eldest son is [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_u]Tatum[/name_u] and his brother is [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]. We chose author names but now my husband and I can’t agree on any so he suggested having the third boy be a junior. His name is [name_m]Ricardo[/name_m] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] those names flow? And if so, what nicknames sound good besides [name_m]Junior[/name_m]? Thanks everyone!
(We have Drew Lilian picked out for a girl name-after Nancy Drew the character and his mothers name was Susan who passed during our first pregnancy and in Hebrew, Susan means lily.)
Well a junior is a personal decision and will be meaningful either way, but just objectively I wouldn’t say [name_m]Ricardo[/name_m] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] fits with brothers names. It can work though.
What kind of author names have you eliminated? Have you considered
Well, [name_m]Truman[/name_m] was an option I just don’t know if I like it enough. He doesn’t care for [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] which would have been my pick. Maybe because that name is getting popular.
I agree with @emsky that [name_m]Ricardo[/name_m] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] doesn’t necessarily match your other boys’ names in style, but I don’t think that should stop you from using it.
You could call him by his middle name (or [name_u]Tony[/name_u]), or something that means two or second (like [name_m]Deuce[/name_m]), or RJ (for [name_m]Ricardo[/name_m] [name_m]Junior[/name_m]) or just a nickname for [name_m]Ricardo[/name_m] that your husband doesn’t use. I like [name_m]Rico[/name_m] or [name_u]Rio[/name_u], if those are options.
Or…other author names that mesh better with [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u]:
