mermaid mama, you are so much fun to help! You had a great first post that gave us lots to work with and then you gave us feedback! [name]Even[/name] better. Plus, since you already have a [name]Lachlan[/name], you aren’t afraid to try some of our adventurous choices.
I really like [name]Darian[/name]. I really like [name]Dorian[/name], but it sounds a bit too feminine to me, but [name]Darian[/name] is a good alternative.
As before, I really vote for [name]Eamon[/name] or [name]Alistair[/name]. They both mean something similar, so even though [name]Eamon[/name] [name]Alistair[/name] sounds awesome, it’s a little repetitive.
[name]Alistair[/name]: I agree with pp; does not strike me as adventurous or outdoorsy
[name]Callum[/name]: The sound just is not pleasing to me, although I seem to be outnumbered there! I do like [name]Cullan[/name], however.
[name]Eamon[/name]: Makes me think of omen or amen-as in the end of a prayer
[name]West[/name]: I love [name]West[/name] as a middle, but as a first, it’s not well distinguished from [name]Wes[/name], which is fairly common.
[name]Rowan[/name]/[name]Ronan[/name]: If you decide you are not bothered by the rhyming “an” endings, I like both of these for you; I prefer [name]Lachlan[/name] & [name]Rowan[/name] to [name]Lachlan[/name] & [name]Ronan[/name]…or [name]Lachlan[/name] & [name]Roman[/name]?
[name]Brodie[/name]: Seems so much more common to be than NB lists it (#534)
[name]Darian[/name]: Undecided
[name]Matteo[/name], [name]Porter[/name]: I can’t say I care for either of these based on your criteria
Here are some names I like that strike me as fun-loving, adventurous, outdoorsy, etc. & would pair well with [name]Lachlan[/name], [name]IMO[/name]. Included meanings similar to your criteria.
[name]Rafferty[/name]
[name]Ramsay[/name]-low-lying land
[name]Rory[/name]
[name]Arlo[/name]-barberry tree
[name]Bodi[/name]
[name]Indio[/name]
[name]Coen[/name]-brave, bold advisor
[name]Bren[/name]-fiery
[name]Milo[/name]-mild, peaceful, calm (sounds like island life, to me!)
[name]Nash[/name]-by the ash tree
[name]Reeve[/name]
[name]Sloan[/name]-raider
[name]Marlowe[/name]-driftwood
[name]Nico[/name]-ppl of victory
[name]Bowen[/name]-young warrior
[name]Aryan[/name]-warrior
[name]Asher[/name]-fortunate, blessed, happy one
[name]Sylvan[/name]-from the forest
Thanks so much! I love a few from your list! And I agree, I’m throwing out [name]Porter[/name] & [name]Matteo[/name]. My husband didn’t like them anyway :-0
[name]Ramsay[/name]
[name]Arlo[/name]
[name]Coen[/name]
[name]Nash[/name]
[name]Bowen[/name]
and one of them is my husband’s name
So glad you found a few you like! [name]Lachlan[/name] is one of my current loves, so I had fun coming up with some possible sibsets Looking forward to hearing what you choose!
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Alistair[/name] and [name]Callum[/name]. You could also use the (more macho?) spelling Alastor.
I also love how [name]Eamonn[/name] sounds/looks with [name]Lachlan[/name], especially when spelled with two ns. I know an [name]Eamonn[/name] (in the US) and I don’t think he runs into too many pronunciation issues.
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Finn[/name] is a great name! Very Scottish/Irish sounding. Some names that may work well with [name]Lachlan[/name] in my mind (sorry for any repeats):
[name]Callum[/name] (def my fav from your list)
[name]Alistair[/name] (also really like this name, my 2nd fav from your list)
[name]Rowan[/name] (a distant 3rd from your list, but far above the rest)
[name]Conner[/name], [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Weston[/name]- not a fan
