Not pregnant, just having some fun thinking about what we could name a boy if we ever have one and our cat [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] loses the title of the only male in the house.
Our twin girls are [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Lucilla[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u] (aka [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Viv[/name_f], [name_u]Luce[/name_u] or [name_u]Skye[/name_u], depending on the day and who you ask) and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Cove[/name_u] (Pheebs, Feef, [name_f]Bee[/name_f] or Carrot Cake because she’s ginger and we think we’re funny). We like [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] as a potential middle name because it appears in two songs that we really love - one by [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and the Machine and another by Hozier - and maybe [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] as a second middle because it’s my favorite nature boy name atm.
Boy names we like: Roman - [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] might be too much though? But I love everything about this name. Arlo - my better half had a dog named [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] as a kid, but we’re not sure if that’s enough to make this one a no-go. Miles - I adore it, but I’m not sure if it’s more trendy or classic - it’s been around forever, but I feel like it’s getting really popular now Abbott - underused occupational names ftw! Clark - old Hollywood and Superman rolled into one Lyle - it’s so friendly and sweet to me, and it just rolls off the tongue Soren - this one makes me think of stormy cliffs for some reason, but that’s a vibe if I’ve ever seen one so I’m not mad about it.
What do you think? Any favorites? Any names you think I should add?
I’m really crushing on L names recently so out of the options you’ve listen I really like:
Lyle [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u]
I agree that [name_m]Roman[/name_m] [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] may be a lot of strong names but I wouldn’t say that rules it out! It still flows pretty well.
I think [name_u]Miles[/name_u] is a bit more modern and with your other names [name_u]Milo[/name_u] might be a more on brand option?
Milo Altas [name_u]Wolf[/name_u]
Abbott seems very stately I’d put it almost equal to what I mentioned about [name_m]Roman[/name_m]!
Clark is exactly how you described it. It seems a bit meh compared to your other names but objectively is a good name and isn’t overly popular currently I don’t think.
Soren always makes me think of soreness or soaring like a bird so it sounds off to me. I want to like it and I know so many berries do! So again wouldn’t rule it out.
I love [name_m]Soren[/name_m], [name_u]Miles[/name_u] and [name_m]Roman[/name_m]! [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] [name_u]Wolf[/name_u] is an excellent middle combo
I love your list! Each one would fit perfectly with [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] but if I’m picky, I would choose [name_m]Clark[/name_m] or [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. He would get his own initial and sound.
Abbott might be my favorite but [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_u]Abbott[/name_u] are a bit of a tongue twister when said together (again if I’m being real picky!).
Arlo being the name of an old pet moves it to the bottom.
Miles is lovely but shares the same first initial as [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
Lyle is sweet but maybe a bit nerdier than [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].
Soren is handsome but doesn’t fit as well as the others.
Roman is a nice enough name but it’s getting so popular and trendy, I’d personally avoid these days. It’s leaping hundreds of places in the charts in recent years and other really similar names are popular at the same time so it blends in. It’s lost its shine for me now
Some of your other names are lovely [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_u]Miles[/name_u] and [name_m]Clark[/name_m] are really great choices
