Shiloh- 8. I like the gentle, cool sound. I see a beagle when I first hear it (and I never watched the movie) but that’s not enough to write off the name.

Koa- 9. Such a cool alternative to [name_u]Kai[/name_u] or [name_u]Noah[/name_u]

Marley- 7. I didn’t see the movie but I do see the dog association. still cute and usable.

Nova- 6. fine name, not my style

Ari- 10! I think [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is sooo handsome for a boy. it’s warm but a little mischivous

Makai- 7. a shorter, better version of [name_m]Malakai[/name_m]

Jade- 8. I really like the cool effortlessness of this name, and I definitely can see it on a boy

Arrow- 9. this is on my list for middle names. I think it needs to be paired well to work and I haven’t been able to find a great combo yet- let me know if you do hahaha

Shiloh - 7/10 so handsome, i love how soft and gentle this sounds!! I imagine a really calm and loving little boy called [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u].

Koa - 7/10 I much prefer this to the ever popular [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. [name_m]Koa[/name_m] feels beachy and cool, I imagine a little surfer boy.

Marley - 5/10 I’m pretty neutral about this it’s not a bad name but lacks sparkle for me. I also think of either the movie or [name_m]Bob[/name_m] [name_u]Marley[/name_u] (not bad associations necessarily just my thoughts).

Nova - 5/10 I certainly prefer this on a boy so that’s lovely to see as I don’t like it as a girl name. It’s sweet but not necessarily my style.

Ari - 7/10 once again so gentle and calming I really like this on a boy.

Makai - 6/10 I like this name but it’s not my style.

Jade - 4/10 I don’t like [name_f]Jade[/name_f] for a girl or a boy, once again it lacks sparkle for me.

Arrow - 8/10 [name_f]Awesome[/name_f] name, I personally wouldn’t be brave enough to use it as a first but it’s so handsome! I think [name_u]Arrow[/name_u] [name_m]Makai[/name_m] would be a cool combo :))

Shiloh - 5/10
[name_m]Koa[/name_m] - 5/10
[name_u]Marley[/name_u] - 4/10 (would be higher if the [name_u]Marley[/name_u] and Me film didn’t exist, can’t help the association)
[name_u]Nova[/name_u] - 2/10, maybe for a girl 3/10
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] - 3/10
[name_m]Makai[/name_m] - 2/10
[name_f]Jade[/name_f] - 1/10, for a girl probably 6/10
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u] - 6/10

Shiloh- 8/10 Very soft and nice. I quite like it!

Koa- 7/10 I’m seeing this more and more lately and think it’s pretty cool!

Marley- 6/10 I associate it mostly with dogs, but it’s nice and soft.

Nova- 6/10 Feels kind of feminine, but it’s a nice name!

Ari- 8/10 This is one of those names that walks the line between being concise and incomplete and ends up feeling like a really cool full name. I like this! It’s a multi-cultural, bright choice.

Makai- 5/10 I like the “ai” ending, but don’t really like the “Mak” sound (it sounds like [name_m]Mike[/name_m] or [name_u]Mckenzie[/name_u], which aren’t my favorites). I prefer [name_m]Malachi[/name_m].

Jade- 7/10 I do think of it as a girl’s name, but I actually like it more on a boy!

Arrow- 4/10 This is very much a fantasy name for me, and I don’t really like using the name of a
weapon. However, it is a solid choice if that’s your style.

Shiloh: 7/10, I don’t feel strongly about it but I like it on a boy
[name_m]Koa[/name_m]: 4/10, I don’t mind it as a name but I don’t like Hawaiian names on people who aren’t Hawaiian due to the cultural significance
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]: 2/10, I love it on a girl, don’t like it on a boy
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]: 2/10, same as [name_u]Marley[/name_u]
[name_u]Ari[/name_u]: 3/10, I only like it as a nickname
[name_m]Makai[/name_m]: 8/10, it’s unique (in a good way) although I can see some pronunciation issues
[name_f]Jade[/name_f]: 1/10, not a fan on a girl and especially dislike it on a boy
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u]: 9/10, too out there for me to use but I’d love to see it on someone else

Shiloh - 7/10 - unexpected, soft and charming
[name_m]Koa[/name_m] - 3/10 - it feels like a nickname
[name_u]Marley[/name_u] - 8/10 - cool, musical and warm
[name_u]Nova[/name_u] - 2/10 - the masculine version of [name_u]Nova[/name_u] would be Novo but I don’t care for either
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] - 7/10 - simple, timeless and elegant
[name_m]Makai[/name_m] - 6/10
[name_f]Jade[/name_f] - 2/10 - I love it for a girl, but I wouldn’t use it as a first name for a boy

Shiloh 5.5/10 - it’s fine, but not my favourite. I do much prefer it on a boy though, so I’m glad to see it on your list!
[name_m]Koa[/name_m] 5.5/10 - it’s a nice name, just not for me.
[name_u]Marley[/name_u] 1/10 - I’m just not a fan of this name on a boy. On a girl, I’d probably give it a 5.5/10.
[name_u]Nova[/name_u] 1/10 - not for me.
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] 7.5/10 - great name! Much prefer it on a boy, so again, glad to see it on your list!
[name_m]Makai[/name_m] 1/10 - also not for me.
[name_f]Jade[/name_f] 4/10 - I do like [name_f]Jade[/name_f] on a boy, but would prefer it in the middle.
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u] 1/10 - not for me. I also don’t like the war connection.

[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - this one has always seemed more feminine to me, but it still works on a boy! It’s very soft sounding. It might be a little tainted because it’s a celebrity baby name now. 8/10

[name_m]Koa[/name_m] - I like it! It feels very surfer cool. A little nickname-y to me. 9/10

[name_u]Marley[/name_u] - I just think of [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_u]Marley[/name_u] from A [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] [name_f]Carol[/name_f]. 3/10

[name_u]Nova[/name_u] - I like this much more on a boy! It’s getting so popular for girls right now, so it seems so fresh and unexpected on a boy! 6/10

[name_u]Ari[/name_u] - I like this! I really like [name_u]Avi[/name_u] as well, which is similar. 8/10

[name_m]Makai[/name_m] - this seems incomplete to me for some reason. I would prefer [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] or just [name_u]Kai[/name_u]. 4/10

[name_f]Jade[/name_f] - this is so commonly used as a girls name, so it’s hard for me to picture it on a boy. 2/10

[name_u]Arrow[/name_u] - this makes such a cool middle name, but it seems really odd as a first to me. (Also, kind of violent imagery imo.) 2/10

Okay, here we go!

Shiloh- :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:  :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: That’s all! I love it so much. It has the most beautiful sound, but still masculine. It’s artsy & outdoorsy, simple yet not too common. High on my personal list.

Koa-This gives me very similar vibes to [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]. I picture a super gentle down to earth surfer dude. But not the bro kind…the chill fun shy kind. Does that make sense at all? Anyway, it’s a very simple plus unique name. And it has beautiful imagery w/the koa tree.

Marley-This is way more used for girls. I don’t care for it for either. It reminds me of an obnoxious loud person for some reason???

Nova-This is more used for girls too, & actually way popular.

Ari-[name_f]My[/name_f] kitty’s name!!! :heart_eyes_cat: :heart_eyes_cat: :heart_eyes_cat: I’m head over heals in love w/him, so of course I love this name. It means ‘lion’ in Hebrew, which is super cool. It’s so friendly & lovable.

Makai-This is kind of interesting. I’ve never heard it, but I don’t mind it. It has a similar vibe to [name_m]Koa[/name_m], but a little bit more spunky.

Jade-Meh, this is more feminine too. I think that it may be nice for a boy mn.

Arrow-That’s really neat. It has a badas* imagery, is simple but underused.

Hope this helps.

Shiloh: It’s a nice name. It’s a bit hard to picture it on anything but the dog, but I do like seeing it for a bit more than for a girl.

Koa: It’s okay. I like it but think [name_m]Koda[/name_m] is a little nicer.

Marley: Also makes me think of the movie but that’s okay.

Nova: It’s pretty cool. It’s a bit unusual for a boy which I admire.

Ari: Not a huge fan of it but it makes me think of actor [name_u]Ari[/name_u] Lehman so, it gets a thumbs up from me.

Makai: I like this one a lot.

Jade: [name_u]Love[/name_u] it for a boy. It reminds me of [name_f]Jade[/name_f] Puget from AFI!

Arrow: [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite of your list. [name_u]Ari[/name_u] would be a good nickname for it

You have interesting names. I will rate:
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]–8/10; gone a bit to the girls, but still has a cool and Biblical vibe.
[name_m]Koa[/name_m]–4/10; isn’t this the name of a nut company?
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]—8/10; again a bit girly, but still cool and rasta.
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]—6/10; this one is too much of a feminine name for my tastes, especially with the a ending.
[name_u]Ari[/name_u]—2/10; Nah, very tied to a certain ethnicity.
[name_m]Makai[/name_m]—7/10; certainly interesting; in fact, I’ve never heard of it.
[name_f]Jade[/name_f]–7/10; has a rather different vibe for a boy. Reminds me of an athlete.
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u]—2/10; too much of an object.

[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]: I love [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]! It’s such a beautiful name with poetic, wistful kind of energy. This is my favorite name on your list.
Koa: not really appealing to me, but not a bad name either
Marley: I do think most people would assume a [name_u]Marley[/name_u] was a girl, but it’s a nice name and if it skewing female doesn’t bother you, go for it.
Nova: this one I can only really see on a girl, actually. Nice name though!
Ari: very handsome name! I know a wonderful little boy named [name_u]Ari[/name_u] and it has made me love the name. [name_f]My[/name_f] second favorite of your names.
Makai: very handsome! I had a student with this name, although he spelled it differently. I do think you’ve picked the simplest and easiest spelling, which is a plus.
Jade: again, I think this is pretty solidly a girl’s name and might be hard for a boy to wear
Arrow: this isn’t my favorite. Not a bad name, but I think some of the others are more appealing.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u], [name_u]Ari[/name_u], and [name_m]Makai[/name_m]. You seem to like soft-sounding, unisex names. What about [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u] or [name_u]Amari[/name_u]?

I love [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u]! I adore nature-inspired names and yes I love using names without restricting what I like to what’s between a child’s legs. It’s much more freeing to just enjoy what you enjoy without feeling something is too “masculine” or “feminine” whatever that means anyway! Thanks!

For [name_u]Ari[/name_u], which ethnicity are you referring to? I know the roots are Hebrew but I’ve never personally met anyone with this name so I don’t feel or know of any attachment. Unless you mean people of the Jewish faith?

Shiloh- I like this name a lot 9/10
[name_m]Koa[/name_m]- not my top pick, but I like it 7/10
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]- I don’t like it at all 1/10
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]- I like this name a lot 10/10
[name_u]Ari[/name_u]- not my top pick, but I like it 8/10
[name_m]Makai[/name_m]- I don’t like it 2/10
[name_f]Jade[/name_f]- Too girly for a boy 3/10
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u]- Too dystopian for my taste 4/10

Shiloh - Not the hugest fan, but I really like the sound of it!! Definitely brings up thoughts of the dog, but I think that’s an ok connotation. 6/10

Koa - I have never heard this before, and I love it! Such a simple, gentle name. I’m a fan. 10/10

Marley - For sure reminds me of the movie, but I like it. I would maybe prefer it as a middle name. 7/10

Nova - LOVE it! Only ever heard it as a girl’s name but I think it’s very handsome on a boy. 10/10

Ari - Short, sweet, and to the point. I like it! 9/10

Makai - Feels like a shorter alternative to [name_m]Mordecai[/name_m], which I really like! [name_u]Kai[/name_u] as a nickname really sells it for me. 10/10

Jade - I’m not sure if I like it on a boy, but I think it’s a gorgeous name and should definitely stay on your list. 6/10

Arrow - Not a fan, honestly. Reminds me of the DC show. Nothing wrong with it, though! [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my style. 5/10

I think this is a really solid list and I like your taste in names!

Shiloh- 6/10 I think its a sweet name but don’t love it for some reason
[name_m]Koa[/name_m]- 5/10 neutral to me but does feel a bit on the trendy side
[name_u]Marley[/name_u]- 2/10 I really like for a girl though
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]- 2/10 I don’t really love this name for either gender but I prefer for girl because of the va sound.
[name_u]Ari[/name_u]- 7/10 very handsome and cool!
[name_m]Makai[/name_m]- 6/10 I love [name_m]Malakai[/name_m] but this feels like something is missing
[name_f]Jade[/name_f]- 2/10 I don’t really see this as a unisex name personally but I really like the nn [name_u]Jay[/name_u].
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u]- 5/10 cool sounding but feels more like a word than a name to me

Shiloh - 7/10 I definitely get [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]-[name_m]Pitt[/name_m] vibes from it, but it’s a nice recognisable and underused name
[name_m]Koa[/name_m] - 8/10 Brilliant [name_u]Kai[/name_u]/Noah alternative, but being Hawaiian could potentially lead to claims of appropriation. I’ve never heard it before, so I don’t know how common it is outside [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m].
[name_u]Marley[/name_u] - 4/10 I always think of the dog
[name_u]Nova[/name_u] - 6/10 This is a great name, but more feminine to me
[name_u]Ari[/name_u] - 9/10 Brilliant, cool, and I think it will age well. I always wonder if it isn’t substantial enough though.
[name_m]Makai[/name_m] - 5/10 Nice, but I prefer it as a nickname to [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_f]Jade[/name_f] - 2/10 I don’t like it on boys or girls, but I can see a little boy called [name_f]Jade[/name_f] getting teased for having a ‘girls name’
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u] - 6/10 Pretty cool, but I can’t imagine a 40 year old [name_u]Arrow[/name_u] with a job and paying bills, so I worry about how well it will age.
