[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl is due any day and we’re stuck on names! Our top two are Brynleigh and [name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f]/[name_f]Brylee[/name_f]. So similar but so different!
I’m not a fan of the nickname “Bry” for [name_f]Brylee[/name_f]. I think it’s husbands favorite though.
Other names on our list - [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] (too common for me), [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f] (too modern?), [name_u]Skylar[/name_u], [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_u]Kamryn[/name_u]/[name_u]Camryn[/name_u].
Big brother’s name is [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]
Any opinions (or alternative name choices) are so appreciated! Thanks in advance!!
[name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f] sounds too made up and masculine to me. Brynleigh would definitely be my choice. I really love [name_u]Camryn[/name_u] from your list. [name_f]Kindra[/name_f] and [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] sound like they fit your style too.
I prefer [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f], [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] or [name_f]Maya[/name_f] though i think i prefer Brynleigh out of these two. [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] maybe? [name_f]Briana[/name_f], [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] and [name_u]Keeley[/name_u] came to mind
I prefer Brynleigh, and especially if it gets shortened to a nickname. Both are nice though. [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] has a softer and nicer sound that Bry, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
My favourite is [name_f]Maya[/name_f] from your list in total I just think it’s pretty, elegant and sounds lovely with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]. Out of the two names your discussing my favourite is Brynleigh it just sounds less trendy than [name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f].
What about [name_u]Brinley[/name_u] or just [name_f]Brynn[/name_f]? If you’re worried about being too modern, I think Brynleigh and [name_f]Brylee[/name_f] are much more modern looking/sounding than [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f].
I really like [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f], [name_u]Brinley[/name_u], [name_f]Maya[/name_f] and [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]! I do agree [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is probably too popular for you as you seem to enjoy more unique names.
Personally, I would go with [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f] or [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]— both perfect with [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] (I love that name), not too popular or too modern, and fit your liked sounds without straying too much.
(Okay, I would go with [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] because it’s adorable and still versatile, will grow with her, and come on, [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] and [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]? Perfection!)
Though I love [name_f]Maya[/name_f], it’s a lot different than your other names— not bad of course, just maybe not what you’re looking for? It’s also very popular.
I agree “Bry” isn’t the best nickname, but [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] is adorable! I just don’t love the spelling of Brynleigh with her classic big brother’s name.
Those are all my thoughts LOL. I think either way you’ll find a name that fits her perfectly!
What’s the middle?
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] is my favorite, followed up by [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f].
[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] is spelled in the traditional way, so Brynleigh (which I like more than [name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f]) looks odd next to it. Very made up. I think Brynley or even better [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] would be much much better.

I’m personally not a big fan of either, but between the 2 I prefer the sound of Brynleigh. I like the simpler spelling of [name_f]Brylee[/name_f] though, so for that reason I would suggest spelling it as [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] or even [name_f]Brinley[/name_f] instead. [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] would be a super cute nn!
Some similar names that came to mind were [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_f]Brinkley[/name_f], [name_f]Braylee[/name_f], [name_u]Baylee[/name_u]/[name_u]Bailey[/name_u] and [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f]. [name_f]Brinkley[/name_f] could still use nn [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] too! [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] could have the nn [name_u]Wynn[/name_u] or even [name_f]Wynnie[/name_f], which are similar to [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] and both make for cute options!
And from your extended list I love [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] and [name_u]Camryn[/name_u] - [name_u]Sky[/name_u] and [name_f]Cami[/name_f]/[name_u]Rynn[/name_u] would make cute nicknames!
My favorite is Brynleigh! If your husbands dead set on the nickname Bry then he can still use it. It sounds more complete to me than [name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f] does.
Of the two I prefer Brynleigh, though might like [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] or [name_u]Brinley[/name_u] spelling better. Of all of your options [name_f]Kinsley[/name_f] is my favorite, i’ve recently been crushing on that name so I was happy to see it on anyone’s list
Out of those 2 I prefer Brynleigh. However I prefer [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] or [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] on its own, or Brynley/[name_u]Brinley[/name_u] spelling over Brynleigh. You say that you’re worried about [name_f]Kinsey[/name_f] being modern but I agree with pp that any leigh ending or [name_f]Bryleigh[/name_f] type sounds is very modern sounding.
