[name_m]Buck[/name_m] is cute! Maybe a bit nickname-y but thereās nothing wrong with that IMO. Iāve met little boys named [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] and [name_u]Hayes[/name_u], and I feel [name_m]Buck[/name_m] fits in nicely with the short cowboy names for boys that are so popular right now. And I love him with big sister [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]!
Iām just going to give you a few middles with different styles!
I think you could choose any name starting with B and have [name_m]Buck[/name_m] as a nickname but [name_m]Buck[/name_m] on its own might be hard to wear. Maybe you likeā¦
[name_u]Beau[/name_u] or [name_u]Bo[/name_u]
[name_m]Brody[/name_m]
[name_m]Bruce[/name_m]
[name_u]Baker[/name_u]
[name_m]Boone[/name_m]
[name_m]Brock[/name_m]
[name_m]Bruno[/name_m]
[name_m]Buckminster[/name_m], nn [name_m]Buck[/name_m] or [name_m]Bucky[/name_m], I love. [name_u]Or[/name_u] just [name_m]Buck[/name_m] or [name_m]Bucky[/name_m].
Personally thereās to many awkward/negative connotations surrounding this for me to get on board. Buck can be slang for money, can be used in association with fighting, is the name of a sex position (sorry crude) and rhymes with a curse word beginning with āfā itās just too many awkward connotations/associations with the word Buck for anyone to deal with.
Iām really liking @Greyblue suggestion of Beck! Beck & Magnolia are lush
No.
Sorry but there is so much potential with bullying there plus all the negative and awkward stuff around the name too. Plus it really does look like itās more of a dog or horse name.
The only positive [name_m]Buck[/name_m] I can think of is that firefighter from the show 911.
I agree with the suggestion of [name_u]Beck[/name_u] or one of itās longer forms to get to [name_u]Beck[/name_u] as a nn.
Though I donāt think Buck/Beck and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] quite work as siblings. Thereās just something a little off about it.
Iām not a fan of [name_m]Buck[/name_m] but I absolutely adore [name_m]Huck[/name_m]! [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_m]Huck[/name_m] would be perfect together
Not a fan of [name_m]Buck[/name_m], for so many reasons, most of which have already been mentioned + I donāt think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_m]Buck[/name_m] have the same vibes as each other.
Funny thing is I really like [name_m]Huck[/name_m] and Tuck(er).
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_m]Huck[/name_m] are cute together.
I also really like the suggestion of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and Beck(ett).
[name_m]Buck[/name_m] and [name_m]Bucky[/name_m] are the nicknames of someone very close to me so I do think theyāre wearable even though I donāt love the sound! I have never noticed some of the connections people are making, but I may just be oblivious because itās a name Iāve grown up around!
I do really like [name_u]Beck[/name_u] as an alternative for you though if something doesnāt feel right about [name_m]Buck[/name_m]! [name_u]Beck[/name_u] is a nature name like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and probably more all-around wearable, and I think itās lovely. You could also go with something like [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] or [name_m]Beckham[/name_m] which I feel can easily be nicknamed [name_m]Buck[/name_m].
At the end of the day, all that matters is that you two love it. If you want other peopleās thoughts though, it doesnāt appeal to me personally. It could just be me being way too literal, but it brings to mind American-style hunting trips - which is not necessarily an issue but itās not my thing.
I also prefer [name_u]Beck[/name_u], which feels more like a name for a creative young person to me.
Iām not really a fan of it, but I love your girlās name. [name_m]Buck[/name_m] just reminds me of deer, a horse bucking, or dollar/buck. Good as a nickname though. Like [name_m]Bucky[/name_m] better than buck <3
I would never guess [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_m]Buck[/name_m] were siblings from [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_u]Zealand[/name_u]. Itās very US south to me (where I live). [name_m]Buck[/name_m] is not a good given name imo. Save it for his nickname.
I like [name_m]Buck[/name_m]! Its definitely been on my radar!
I think it could work for alot of different names⦠similarly to how [name_m]William[/name_m] can be nn [name_m]Bill[/name_m].
Charles⦠Chuck⦠[name_m]Buck[/name_m]? Maybe you could do [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Baxter[/name_m] as a formal name?
[name_u]Berkley[/name_u] nn [name_m]Buck[/name_m]
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] nn [name_m]Buck[/name_m]
[name_m]Bernard[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] nn [name_m]Buck[/name_m]
