Bucket List

I was writing up mine after being prompted to by my psychologist and I thought it would be fun to share and for others too.

Maybe we can get some inspiration from each other because my list is quite bleak and boring at the moment. Big and small achievements are included so that’s why some might seem more adventurous and others more tame or normal.

  1. Learn Italian.
  2. Go to University.
  3. Visit every [name_u]Tate[/name_u] Gallery/Museum in the UK.
  4. Learn to use chopsticks.
  5. Climb [name_m]Ben[/name_m] [name_f]Nevis[/name_f].
  6. Visit every Scottish island.
  7. Bathe an elephant (my dream since I was like 2 or 3).
  8. Learn some sign language.
  9. Donate blood.
  10. [name_u]Read[/name_u] a 100 books a year.
  11. Visit every continent.
  12. Have my own bee hive.
  13. Learn to play poker.
  14. [name_f]Do[/name_f] at least 200 hours of volunteer work a year.
  15. See the northern lights.
  16. Visit lavender fields in [name_f]Provence[/name_f].
  17. Learn to play chess properly
  18. Find my passion in life.
  19. Get married.
  20. Have children.
  21. Plant a vegetable garden.
  22. Go on a blind date (my grandparents met that way and were married for 50 years so you never know!).
  23. Learn to waltz.
  24. [name_f]Do[/name_f] a forwards and backward roll.

I’d love to know what’s on your list!

Oh, fun! Mine would be something like:

  1. Have my own library.
  2. Own a self-sustainable farm.
  3. See a blue whale.
  4. Go to [name_f]Alaska[/name_f].
  5. Live somewhere you can see more sky than other houses.
  6. Make maple syrup.
  7. [name_u]Read[/name_u] as many books as possible that feel like pieces of your soul written by someone else.
  8. Harvest a perfect strawberry.
  9. Meet [name_m]David[/name_m] Attenborough and talk about whales, penguins, and wolves.
  10. See as many movies in the theatre as possible.

A lot of these are kind of boring, but it’s the small stuff that makes the big stuff worthwhile. The day that I hopefully have restored my own farm on a piece of land will be just as exciting as when I pluck that first perfect strawberry from the batch.

Well, I walked in the rain and I read a [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] [name_m]King[/name_m] book. It was disturbing - and it wasn’t even one of the creepy ones.

lol @ Helium. I haven’t done that yet either

I got my first henna about 1.5 years ago! I like the pretty designs and like how it’s not permanent like other tatoos. I know want to do henna on myself.

I want to build a tree house too and kiss a girl too! :joy:

That’s cool! I recently tried henna on my hair, of course that’s different entirely but I like it. The smell takes some time getting used to.
Kissing girls is probably a case for the “Not to do”-list or Anti Bucket List for me - the list of things I should stop putting on my bucket list because they’re not going to happen, and having them on there forever will just make me feel bad.

edit: oversharing much?

  1. Travel to [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]
  2. Travel to [name_f]Austria[/name_f]
  3. Learn another language fluently
  4. Own my own home
  5. Plant and successfully grow a fruit and vegetable garden that can actually help feed me!
  6. Learn Archery
  7. Learn how to use a sword
  8. Be able to run a 10k
  9. Ride a Motorcycle
  10. Go on a Great American Roadtrip with my sister
  11. Swim in a coral reef
  12. Hike a [name_m]Mountain[/name_m]
  13. Learn Irish Step dancing
  14. Learn to play a musical instrument
  15. Make enough good quality knitted items to donate to homeless and animal shelters.
  16. Knit a sweater
  17. Own a cow (I love the red Devons)
  18. Make my own cheese
  19. Shave my head (not bald just like a buzz cut)
  20. Get a tattoo

Has yours changed since [name_f]May[/name_f] 2019, @jonquils? Totally curious! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m totally gonna change this.

  1. Get my teaching certificate.

It most certainly has! I’m in the midst of making a huge, life-changing decision, so I don’t know what my bucket list will end up looking like.
