Bulgarian boy names?

Hi, I’m in need of some masculine Bulgarian names that would work too in an English-speaking setting.

A few I like (feel free to give your opinion on these):

[name_m]Yulian[/name_m] (top contendor right now) / Yuliyan

[name_m]Damian[/name_m] / [name_m]Damyan[/name_m]

[name_m]Ivan[/name_m]

[name_m]Yulian[/name_m] is very handsome - elegant and internation in feel.

[name_m]Ivan[/name_m] is a strong but friendly choice – though some [name_m]English[/name_m] speakers may say it as EYE-vuhn rather than ee-VAN

[name_m]Damian[/name_m] is my favorite.

I love Yuliyan! Some more ideas: [name_m]Rosen[/name_m], Emiliyan, [name_m]Iliya[/name_m] or [name_m]Iliyan[/name_m], [name_m]Aleksandar[/name_m], [name_m]Milen[/name_m] or [name_m]Milan[/name_m], Kristiyan, [name_m]Rayno[/name_m], [name_m]Marko[/name_m], [name_m]Nikola[/name_m], [name_m]Kalin[/name_m], [name_m]Yakov[/name_m], [name_m]Angel[/name_m], [name_m]Rumen[/name_m], [name_m]Valentin[/name_m], [name_m]Samuil[/name_m], [name_m]Stefan[/name_m], [name_m]Viktor[/name_m], Matey, [name_m]Teodor[/name_m]

I would like to meet more boys named Damian/Damyan.

Does it matter to you if the name is pronounced differently in Bulgarian and English? I ask because I would only recommend Ivan and Damian if you’re okay with people using the English pronunciations. I know an Ivan from a South Slavic country and all his English-speaking colleagues call him EYE-vin. Likewise Damian will get DAY-mee-in rather than dahm-yan.

I like Yulian but I can see it getting mistaken for “Julian” in English because that’s a more familiar name.

I don’t mind differing pronunciations. [name_m]Yulian[/name_m] being mistaken for [name_m]Julian[/name_m] is something I was worried about, too.

I think all three of those are good choices!

Some other suggestions I haven’t seen mentioned yet:
[name_m]Andrei[/name_m] / [name_m]Andrey[/name_m]
[name_m]Emilian[/name_m] / Emiliyan
[name_m]Nayden[/name_m]
[name_m]Orlin[/name_m]
[name_m]Yasen[/name_m]
