Warning for aforementioned toxic masculinity.

[name_m]Cadoc[/name_m] “ [name_m]Doc[/name_m] “ [name_m]Tanwyn[/name_m] [McLeod] Newerth (58) is Garry’s father, who likes to be looked up to, but it isn’t something he demands. [name_m]Doc[/name_m] tends to be the type of guy who will get disappointed, but not use that to blame people. It’s not a good feeling when he’s disappointed, as [name_m]Garry[/name_m] knows himself, and it can make people worry if they did something wrong, even though [name_m]Doc[/name_m] doesn’t try to give that vibe. He was admittedly disappointed in how toxic masculinity pressured [name_m]Garry[/name_m] N., but knows it’s not his fault. It could be worse, his son could have been equally toxic, but he’s better than that. [name_m]Doc[/name_m] isn’t really the best at handling remarks that come out wrong. Such as when a new co-worker of his at the bank stated how happy he was not to be in a judgemental environment…and he and other co-workers pointed out this guy judges people all the time and he’s part of the problem. [name_m]Doc[/name_m] is aware [name_m]Garry[/name_m] J. is not romantically interested in his son’s ex, because [name_m]Garry[/name_m] Jorović is openly gay and was still in the process of discovering this when he dated her. He jokes the awkwardness in the shared name was a blessing-in-disguise for the other [name_m]Garry[/name_m] to find out who he was…besides the fact that he’s another [name_m]Garry[/name_m].

[name_m]Doc[/name_m] admittedly loved when his son and his ex were so close. Admittedly he find her to be the best partner his son could have, not perfect, but the Newerths never really liked perfect. He didn’t really force [name_m]Garry[/name_m] to feel like he had to make a bunch of big life decisions, especially since he didn’t want to hurt this good relationship. [name_m]Doc[/name_m] feels a lot of the reason why his wife and him did so well was because of their privacy in their relationship to allow it to grow. [name_m]Doc[/name_m] is also close with his niece [name_f]Sloane[/name_f] and her own life accomplishments alongside Sloane’s brother, who uses cochlear implants. He feels this has made him a more accepting but far less nosey person in his family’s life. [name_m]Doc[/name_m] and [name_m]Garry[/name_m] have bonded more since [name_m]Doc[/name_m] has realised the importance of being a good male figure, especially when [name_m]Garry[/name_m] feels less accepted for his non-toxic ways. Secretly [name_m]Doc[/name_m] hoped [name_m]Garry[/name_m] could find happiness and reconcile with his ex in some way. But at the very least, find some great friends who don’t support toxic ideologies.
