[name_m]George[/name_m] " [name_m]Bubba[/name_m] " [name_m]Tyrone[/name_m] [name_f]Brande[/name_f] (26 [name_f]May[/name_f] 1937 [name_f][/name_f]- 22 [name_f]June[/name_f] 2017, aged 80) was JG’s late grandfather, her [name_m]Bubba[/name_m]. To be fair, everyone called him [name_m]Bubba[/name_m], it wasn’t just a grandparent nickname. He was everyone’s [name_m]Bubba[/name_m], and more than just a guy who died of bronchitis 8 years prior. He loved to tell stories to his grandchildren at an early age. Some of these stories were not true, like [name_m]Bubba[/name_m] never truly being a pirate [name_m]Captain[/name_m] with a dinosaur First Mate, but this was no problem and the kids even liked to add on. His son (JG’s dad) knows best, since [name_m]Bubba[/name_m] did give him the nickname Bubbles as a child, though this didn’t stick. Despite being outward, [name_m]Bubba[/name_m] wasn’t over-the-top romantic with his wife, but it was clearly love. [name_m]Bubba[/name_m] is very committed and loves all his grandchildren. He doesn’t take things too seriously and has many coping mechanisms.

[name_m]Bubba[/name_m] loved looking after JG but always insisted he did not[name_f][/name_f] have a favourite child or grandchild. And he didn’t, though JG was definitely the most patient and hilarious. And the glorious eldest, the one who made[name_f][/name_f] him a grandpa. It was a personal struggle for him to help out for his son and daughter-in-law while making sure they weren’t invisible figures. And [name_m]Bubba[/name_m] wasn’t perfect. Sometimes JG’s aunt or uncle would watch her, but [name_m]Bubba[/name_m] did it mainly, due to his other children having children. He knew JG wanted kids but would not be bothered that she hasn’t had them yet. His death announcement was very grim, however his celebration of life was so happy and reminiscing [name_f][/name_f]- the way he would have “gosh dang wanted”.
