In the hospital and just had a beautiful baby girl. But we’re having quite the debate about her name. We came in thinking it would be [name_f]Caia[/name_f], which we loved, but when we saw her we thought maybe the name was too sharp/strong for her seeet little face. I suggested [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and hubby loved it so we went with that. But now I’ve got second thoughts, I’m having trouble getting used to calling her [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and family members we’ve told keep saying “M-eye-LA” which I don’t care for at all.
What do you think??? [name_f]Mila[/name_f] or [name_f]Caia[/name_f]?
(Her brothers are [name_u]Finn[/name_u] & [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], and we have a very long surname so wanted a short first name. Also my husband is European so wanted something fairly international)
Thanks!
Congratulations! Both names are gorgeous. [name_f]Mila[/name_f] is a diminutive of several European names, so it would work very well for your preferences. It’s also super cute for a little girl. I can understand your difficulty with [name_f]Mila[/name_f]’s pronunciation, but if you really love it, I say go for it! Also, how about [name_f]Maya[/name_f], or [name_f]Maia[/name_f]? [name_f]Maia[/name_f] is so lovely, and is a mix of both names! Good luck!
I like [name_f]Mila[/name_f]. I think the family will figure out the pronunciation pretty quickly. I also think it’s natural to need a little time to get used to calling her anything.
Congratulations! I like both names - you can’t go wrong to offer some help, I personally would choose [name_f]Mila[/name_f], but [name_f]Caia[/name_f] is equally beautiful.
