I used to know/was friends with a [name_u]Cairo[/name_u] (girl) years ago. I always thought she had a pretty cool name, but I can see it working on a boy too. It’s definitely one of the better sounding place names. Imagery and personality wise, it reminds me of [name_f]Clio[/name_f] quite a lot. I’m not sure about middles, but maybe something to bring out the feisty, exotic feel of the name:
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] [name_f]Parisa[/name_f]
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] [name_f]Alana[/name_f]
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f]
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] [name_f]Jana[/name_f]
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
I really dislike the name [name_u]Cairo[/name_u]- but definitely see it as more of a boys name.
I’m not a fan of the name really, but it could work for either.
I love [name_u]Cairo[/name_u], and I think it could work for a boy or a girl.

I don’t like the name, but I’d say it’s unisex.
[name_u]Cairo[/name_u] is a boys name to me
I’ve known one, and she was a girl. But I think it is truly unisex. It’s not a name I’d use because I’m not a big fan of place names, but I like the sound of it, and I think I’d be more likely to use it for a boy since I like a lot of boys’ names ending in “-o.”
Not a fan, but I personally would imagine it on a man. Though, as a place name, it’s pretty much unisex.
I think the popularity of [name_u]Kai[/name_u] for boys combined with the -o ending of [name_u]Cairo[/name_u] makes the name lean masculine. I’m actually quite surprised it hasn’t taken off for boys.
I think it is unisex, can see it on both genders, however I did think ‘boy’ first. Personally I don’t like place names though. Although as place names go, it’s one of the nicer ones.
It feels masculine to me, but I prefer [name_m]Caio[/name_m].
It works for both… thought a celebrity has a son named king [name_u]Cairo[/name_u] and it could influence people’s opinions but I don’t think it works for both genders and middle name suggestion is [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
Thanks everyone
