[name_f]Kate[/name_f] is more classic and elegant to me!

[name_f]Kate[/name_f]!

I love both,but I think [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] is more unique

Kate!!

Definitely [name_f]Kate[/name_f]! I find it timeless where [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] is more 80-90s

I love Kate!!

[name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] and all its variants were extremely popular here in the 90s and 00s.

i think kate is lovely!

[name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] is quite dated where I live - the Caitlins are largely in their 20s and 30s and the name isn’t being used on babies as far as I can tell.

[name_f]Kate[/name_f]! I love it probably because it’s my name

[name_f]Kate[/name_f]! I love [name_f]Kate[/name_f]- daring, classy, short, and sweet. [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] has always sounded a bit little-girly to me.

I love the name [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. Dearly. It’s truly one of my all-time favorites; Still a little bummed I never got to use it. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is timeless, classy, smart, pretty, ageless, feminine, but no nonsense… I just love it. I’m a big adherent to giving a baby a “proper given name”… So, I would have used [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].
Probably [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]…
Always called [name_f]Kate[/name_f].
I also really liked the name [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]… But I loved both names sooo much that I didn’t want to waste one or the other! Also— ironically the other name on my list when I was pregnant for my daughter, was [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] [name_f]Jewel[/name_f]. That spelling is very old; Irish Gaelic, proper, so pretty… Like some of the others mentioned though, it became very popular for a certain duration and now seems a little dated. I think that notion or perception will pass in time.
Ultimately I ended up not choosing [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f], because I just loved [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (as the nickname)—spelled with a K; so it was a bit of a conundrum for me, [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] beginning with a C; and, I sincerely felt all the other spellings just seemed too made up to me.

I ended up with an [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] — called [name_u]Abbey[/name_u]… And! thank God, she has an [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]—and we call her [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
