Could you please tell me how you pronounce [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f], and what you think of it?
Thank you!

I pronounce it kah-LAN-thee, the second A pronounced like the A in apple. I rather like it; it could definitely grow on me. Plus the nicknames [name_f]Calla[/name_f] and [name_f]Callie[/name_f] / [name_f]Cally[/name_f] are adorbs.
I’d say ca-LANTH. It’s interesting but I’ve never heard of it.
I say Cuh-LAN-thee. I have it on my master list from years ago, when I was on a bit of a -the ending spree. I remember really liking the meaning and sound; I still do to be honest. A very pretty name!
My gut is Cuh-Lanth. I have never heard of it, so it is certainly unique and has a nice ring!
I said Cuh-lanth when I read the thread name in my head. [name_m]Reading[/name_m] others’ responses, I understand that Cuh-lanth-ee is probably the right pronunciation.
It’s certainly interesting. It’s not my style, but I have a feeling when I’ve had more time to roll it around in my brain, it’ll become one of those “names that sound cool that I wish I liked” like [name_f]Calliope[/name_f].
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: Definitely sounds like a badass warrior!
I would say cah-LAN-thee, too. I like it, but not quite as much as [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] (which I’m really loving right now!), [name_f]Calla[/name_f], or [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f].
I say kah-LAIRN-thee, with a hard ‘th’. It’s actually quite cute!
Thanks for the replies everyone! I feel like my husband will veto this one, unfortunately, but I came across it yesterday and I really liked it–it’s great to get some feedback on pronunciation/opinions
