so i just realized the beauty and simplicity of the name [name]Calla[/name]-- not only does it mean beautiful but [name]Calla[/name] Lilys are my favorite flower and had them in my wedding. ive always loved [name]Lily[/name] but its too popular. and my dh loves nn [name]Callie[/name] and i love nn [name]Cal[/name]. [name]Calla[/name] seems so perfect.
but my dd2 is [name]Kaia[/name] and most likely they will be close in age. they have different sounds but look really similar on paper. does this matter?
my first thought was [name]Calla[/name] [name]Gwyneth[/name] [name]Hope[/name] which i think is really pretty. but dh isnt keen on gwyneth.
my next dd id like [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] in her name so most likely it would be:
[name]Calla[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] --too long?
even tho my girls have 2mn we only use the first mn on a daily basis. the 2nd mn is to honor family.
so wdyt of [name]Calla[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]?
Honestly to me, [name]Calla[/name] and [name]Kaia[/name] are too similar. But I agree, [name]Calla[/name] is so beautiful. But if you really love it then, go ahead and use it. [name]Callie[/name] and [name]Kaia[/name] aren’t as close.
So for middle names, I really like [name]Juliet[/name]! So pretty. I’m not so keen on [name]Josephine[/name] however. It seems to heavy for a light, soft name like [name]Calla[/name]. Also, the double Js throw me off too. Here are some suggestions I came up with. [name]Juliet[/name] usually seemed to sound better when put last, but you can switch them around for a different sound.
josephine was to honor my father [name]Raymond[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]. love josephine, but i dont think it quite fits here either. so what about [name]Rhea[/name] (“ray”) ? ive never been too keen on [name]Rae[/name] for a girl but [name]Rhea[/name] looks much more sophisticated.
dh agreed [name]Calla[/name] is similar but not bad. i do really like it and [name]Kaia[/name] and [name]Calla[/name] seem different styles to me [name]Kaia[/name] seems more spunky and [name]Calla[/name] seems so sweet. plus [name]Callie[/name] does help
separate them too.
