Callaia/Callista

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!!! In someone’s signature recently (I’m sorry I forget who’s) I saw the name Callaia. Inlooked and can’t find much information about it, but I think it’s absolutely beautiful. I’m not sure how it’s pronounced though. Is it cah-LIE-uh? Or cah-[name_m]LAY[/name_m]-uh. I like the first option much better. It’s like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] (one of my favorites), with the nickname [name_f]Callie[/name_f]. Does anyone know anything about this name?

Also do you like it better than [name_f]Callista[/name_f]? What are your thoughts on [name_f]Callista[/name_f]?

[name_f]Callaia[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]?

I looked up [name_f]Kaliyah[/name_f], which seems about closest, and it might be an invented name! A really pretty one at that  I’d pronounce it however you want!

[name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is gorgeous!

[name_f]Callista[/name_f] is lovely, and I much prefer it to [name_f]Callaia[/name_f], who would encounter pronunciation issues her whole life.

From the little information I’ve found, [name_f]Callaia[/name_f] is an Italian word name meaning passage. Not related to [name_f]Kaliyah[/name_f] (which I don’t like). [name_m]How[/name_m] would you intuitively pronounce [name_f]Callaia[/name_f] though?

Personally I would go with [name_f]Callista[/name_f], because it’s interesting and different, but doesn’t have the spelling/pronunciation issues that [name_f]Callaia[/name_f] has.

I prefer [name_f]Callista[/name_f].
