Callan vs Julian vs Salem

Hi friends! We are due with a boy soon, my 3rd baby, and trying to narrow down the name list. If you had to choose, would you go with

Callan Ezra
or
Julian Ezra
or
Salem Ezra

??

Our last name is one syllable and starts with a C. Thanks for any input!

[name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] is a great name! They sound so good together, and I also think [name_u]Julian[/name_u] works better with the last name.

I definitely think [name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] flows better, especially with the shorter last name.

I like [name_u]Callan[/name_u] better but as a combo, [name_u]Julian[/name_u] [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] is my fave. The 3 syllable 2 syllable one syllable pattern is one of my favourites (mostly with double middle combos but I can’t see why it won’t work with single middles and surnames).

Plus the initials J.A.C are better than C.A.C.

Callan Ezra! I really like Callan’s sharp, modern sound, with the cool and laid-back nickname Cal. It’s a choice that’s a bit different but still very familiar!

Edit: With Salem in the mix, I like Salem best!

We are also considering [name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_u]Ezra[/name_u], but not sure I am brave enough. We are getting such mixed feedback on that one.

Julian Ezra! The 3-2-1 syllable count is really nice and almost melodic to the ear. And Julian Ezra just has a gorgeous flow to it in general! Also love the fact the initials would be JAC, so you could base a nickname around it like Jace or Jack!

I love [name_u]Callan[/name_u] [name_u]Ezra[/name_u]. [name_u]Callan[/name_u] is such a strong name and paired with [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] is quite Handsome!!!

I think [name_u]Callan[/name_u] [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] is the most wearable, but [name_u]Salem[/name_u] [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] is just such a stunner :heart_eyes: It’s my favourite by far!!

I love the name [name_u]Julian[/name_u] so I’m partial to that but I like [name_u]Salem[/name_u] too depending on your other kids names I think that would be great too!

Julian or Callan - can’t go wrong with either, comes down to whether you want alliteration with the double C and whether you prefer Cal or Jules etc. Julian Ezra to a one syllable last name flows marginally better, but not much in it. Salem flows very well to Ezra but the name is too associated with the witch trials for me to use, and I like that Callan and Julian bring some levity to Ezra.

Should have added: [name_u]Salem[/name_u] and [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] are the most thematically matched - but you won’t use the middle name much so would choose what matches best with last name and brings favourite nickname.
