Callen?

What do you think? I love the nn [name]Cal[/name], and this is my favorite form to get to it. [name]Do[/name] you think it would go with brother [name]Boston[/name]? I don’t like that they both end in -n, but I’m having trouble getting dh to like anything that doesn’t end in -n.

I also love the nickname [name]Cal[/name], but prefer [name]Calvin[/name], [name]Caleb[/name] or [name]Callum[/name] as a way to get there. Or you could do [name]Cole[/name] instead of [name]Cal[/name] and your boys would have completely different sounding names.

It’s funny that you suggested [name]Cole[/name]. My husband’s name is [name]Nicholas[/name], and I always thought [name]Cole[/name] could be a nod to him. Here’s the problem though: It’s rumored throughout our family that we’re related to [name]Cole[/name] Younger. My dad has found a Younger on the family tree, but hasn’t been able to link it to [name]Cole[/name] Younger. I would bet that this would be my family’s first thought if I used the name [name]Cole[/name], and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

I love [name]Callan[/name]. I like [name]Cal[/name] in theory, but it always sounds like cow. [name]Callan[/name] would by my favorite way to get there. I also like [name]Cole[/name].

And our last name starts with a W… We would have to be careful and use the full name with the last name. My son’s nn is Bos, but it’s always [name]Boston[/name] when paired with the last name, so I think it’s do-able.
