Calling all Abrahams!

[name]One[/name] of my all time favorite names is the stately [name]Abraham[/name], with the punchy nickname [name]Bram[/name]. Now [name]Bram[/name] is not in the top 100 names in the US Social Security data, but [name]Abraham[/name] is all the way up at 194. What I’m wondering is, how many of those Abrahams go exclusively by [name]Bram[/name]. So, do any of you have a little [name]Abraham[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you call him [name]Bram[/name], or [name]Abie[/name], or [name]Abraham[/name], or all three? Or, did you name your child something with the intent of calling him something else, and how has that worked out?

The only Abrahams i’ve ever known went by [name]Abe[/name]. I like [name]Bram[/name], it’s cute. My brother is named [name]Kenneth[/name], but has always gone by [name]Kenny[/name]. He hasn’t had any problems with it. Teachers would use [name]Kenneth[/name] at the beginning of the year, but that isn’t really a problem. It has worked out fine for him. I do think [name]Bram[/name] can stand on its own though, if you want.

I have actually not run into any little Abrahams. [name]Nor[/name] any Brams. I have met some Abrams.

My Grandpa’s name was [name]Abraham[/name] but, for reason they called him [name]Andy[/name]? [name]Love[/name] the name & nn [name]Bram[/name]. I have also never met anyone named [name]Abraham[/name]. good luck!

Never met an [name]Abraham[/name], and I’ve never heard of anyone calling an [name]Abraham[/name] by [name]Bram[/name]. I think its cute!

I had no idea that [name]Abraham[/name] was so high on the list. Friends of ours just had a little boy named [name]Abraham[/name], nn [name]Bram[/name], and that’s the first [name]Abraham[/name] I’ve ever known.

I know, it seemed really high to me too. Thanks for all your input, everybody! Maybe it’s less common than I thought!

I met a little [name]Abraham[/name] a few months ago but everyone calls him [name]Abe[/name]. The only [name]Bram[/name] I ever met actual name was [name]Bram[/name].
