DH and I have decided to go for no 3, but we are struggling with names. We already have a DS [name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_u]Howard[/name_u] and DD [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] [name_f]Mallory[/name_f]. Our surname is a two syllable ending in “son”.
We like classic names that aren’t very common. I’m not a fan of nicknames, although I decided I don’t mind “[name_f]Bree[/name_f]” if [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f]’s name were to be shortened in the future but hoping it won’t be!
We have a few boys names on the list so far [name_m]Fraser[/name_m], [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], [name_m]Kirk[/name_m] possible middle name would be [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m]. We both like [name_m]Orson[/name_m] but felt it wouldn’t work with a surname also ending son.
Girls are much harder, DH really likes [name_f]Arrietty[/name_f] but I think it’s too much of a mouthful. I like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] but I’m put off by the fact there can be differences in pronunciation as I like Es-may and would hate Es-mee, and the fact it’s in the top 50 names in the UK.
However with the first two the names just clicked, [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] was the name we had if [name_m]Clark[/name_m] had been a girl and we never changed our minds. But nothing has quite done that yet. So would love your ideas. Thanks
