Please help me choose. [name]Baby[/name] boy due in 3 weeks.

  • [name]Sister[/name] is named [name]Olivia[/name]
  • [name]Olivia[/name] and mommy share the same first name initial.
  • Daddy’s first name initial is M. That’s why I am thinking of [name]Maxwell[/name]. I can’t find another M name that I love.
  • [name]Calvin[/name] just sounds better with [name]Olivia[/name], no? they are both 6 letters with v as the 4th letter.
    We don’t use middle names for our kids.

I love the way [name]Calvin[/name] looks with [name]Olivia[/name] but I love the classic feel of [name]Maxwell[/name], and with the cute nn [name]Max[/name] and the tie to day’s name [name]Maxwell[/name] gets my vote.

I really like both with [name]Olivia[/name], but personally I think I like [name]Maxwell[/name] more. I’d actually prefer just [name]Max[/name], though.

[name]Calvin[/name] isn’t my cup of tea and always sounded kind of dorky to me. I think [name]Maxwell[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name] both have an upper class feel to them and go better together for that reason.

hello all, thanks for the input. I really like [name]Maxwell[/name] but for me, the cons are:

  • it is becoming more popular now. Also, people/celebrities are starting to use [name]Maxwell[/name] for girl names ([name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name]). I really want a name that is strictly male.
  • the other con is that, 98% of the time, i bet my baby will go by the nickname max. and while it’s not a bad name, it is also the top name people give to their pet dogs or pet cats. and i have a slight issue with that.

so i guess at this point, i am leaning more towards calvin, unless i find another name i love!

I really love [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Calvin[/name] together! A very charming match, and I think [name]Liv[/name] and [name]Cal[/name]/[name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Calvin[/name] just sounds adorable for siblings. I love the idea of [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Maxwell[/name] for the connection to your initials, though, but I keep getting hung up on children’s cartoon characters–there’s [name]Olivia[/name] the pig, and then [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Max[/name] is another show. I don’t know if others would make that connection, though–I took library science in college, and was required to take a children’s literature course, haha. I do think either one would be lovely, but I like [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Calvin[/name] more. I think [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Spencer[/name] would be a great match, too, if that interests you.

I would say [name]Calvin[/name] and [name]Olivia[/name]! A. Because I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Calvin[/name], and you’re right it does sound awesome with [name]Olivia[/name]. and B. [name]Lance[/name] [name]Armstrong[/name]'s kids from his second relationship are [name]Maxwell[/name] “[name]Max[/name]” and [name]Olivia[/name]. Now I might be the only person who would remember this because i’m weird and remember things, but that would bug me, especially with the most recent turn of events.
