Camden?

Does [name_u]Camden[/name_u] sound distinguished or trendy to you?

Doesn’t really sound like either to be honest. I don’t think of it as distinguished which some names that generally come to mind for that are [name_m]William[/name_m], [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], etc. It is also not trendy. It’s a beautiful Scottish name with a lot of spunk and softness to it.

Definitely on the trendy side for me.

Trendy for me. In my area, there’s a strong association to the stadium and a lesser one to NJ. If you don’t live in the Mid-Atlantic it would be less of a problem.

We live in the western half of the country so I don’t think the associations with the city and baseball stadium will come up as often. My husband loves this name and I do like it but worry it’s too trendy. I don’t want to regret using it in a few years. Some of the names that we both like I worry about too popular ([name_m]Jackson[/name_m], [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]).

A very close cousin of mine named her son [name_u]Camden[/name_u] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] “[name_u]Cam[/name_u]” (age 1). Her mother is from [name_f]England[/name_f] so it was a nod to her roots in [name_u]Camden[/name_u], [name_u]London[/name_u]. A cousin’s step cousin also named her son [name_u]Camden[/name_u] too (age 10).

[name_u]Camden[/name_u] leans more towards the trendy side to me, but I’ve only met the 2 in my family. I know in the celebrity world it was all the rage with [name_u]Nick[/name_u] Lachey and [name_f]Kristin[/name_f] Cavallari, [name_u]Camden[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_u]Camden[/name_u] [name_m]Jack[/name_m].
