Came across a very yewnique name today...

C’mon (Pronounced [name_u]Simone[/name_u]). I saw this name on a t.v show on A&E. What do ya’ll think? This is by far the most unique spelling of this name I’ve ever come across.

“C’mon everybody, let’s all groan together now”. What else is there to say?

Hahahaha. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it, Southern.[name_f]Maple[/name_f].

Yep, pretty much. Plus I read it as See-muhn, which is how I pronounce semen.

Hahahaha! You guys crack me up! I agree, it’s terrible.

Hahahaha oh dear. I think punctuation should generally stay out of names, with the exception of occasional hyphens.

[name_m]How[/name_m] is that even a name?

doesnt surprise me, due to a stereotype that is most definitely true.

the [name_u]Messiah[/name_u] judge needs to intervene in this poor childs life.

Okay, I just snorted so loudly from some of your comments I almost woke my sleeping man. Hahaha! C’mon is terrible! What TV show was it?

Believe it or not it was the name of a female detective on the A&E show The First 48. I was shocked to see this name on a grown woman! It was her real name, I’m dead serious! lol

And the reason for telling us this was…?

This exactly.

I’m sorry if adding that part was offensive to anyone. I just thought people would be interested to know what race she was. Then again, I guess doesn’t really matter. Again, I’m sorry if someone found it offensive. I deleted that part.

Oh my, my, my…

LOL southern.maple! I laughed so hard!

Lol at the comments!

“C’mon C’mon get a move on!” Is what I thought of. I read it as Come on said in like shorthand I guess, which I would spell as C’mon like it sounds…

facepalm

Oh dear. Apostrophes and pronunciations that break rules of English spelling are acceptable when the name is coming from another language where the use of such devices is part of the original language. Examples include Polynesian names with their many apostrophes for the former, and non-intuitive(to a native English speaker) pronunciations of, say, some Irish names. But [name_u]Simone[/name_u]? Nope.

I loved the facepalm pic.

That’s on the same level as Oranjello (literally, orange jello).
