I think if [name]Cameron[/name] is in honor of your father-in-law, it’s a fine name. I don’t think you need to spell it Cameryn though. The popularity of actress [name]Cameron[/name] [name]Diaz[/name] has made that spelling acceptable on a girl.
I’d always err on the side of the more traditional spelling. You may not want her to be the 20-something saying to the maitre’d something along the lines of “It’s [name]Camryn[/name] with a Y” for a lifetime. Like replacing C with a K, I feel that an I for Y or other variations is passe.
[name]Cameron[/name] [name]Azalea[/name]. I like the traditional spelling and the more feminine middle name with [name]Cameron[/name].
