Camila? Camilla? Or Amelia

I’m torn between [name]Camila[/name], [name]Camilla[/name], and [name]Amelia[/name] for my list. Sonherevare my questions [name]Do[/name] you pronounce [name]Camila[/name] and [name]Camilla[/name] differently? I’ve found sites that say them the same and some that say them differently. Which do you prefer? Or do you prefer [name]Amelia[/name]? It has the potential to be a FN with the MN [name]Genevieve[/name] or an MN for [name]Lucy[/name]. Thanks so much.

I pronounce [name]Camilla[/name] and [name]Camila[/name] both the same, [name]Camille[/name] with an -ah sound at the end. I know you didn’t ask this, but I do prefer just [name]Camille[/name] over both names/spellings of the name. [name]Amelia[/name] is very pretty and soft, but I wish it wasn’t so popular! I like it better than [name]Camilla[/name]/[name]Camila[/name] though. [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] is gorgeous!

I pronounce [name]Camilla[/name] as ca-mill-ah and [name]Camila[/name] I would maybe think could be [name]Ca[/name]-meel-ah.

I personally would probably use [name]Amelia[/name] over [name]Camilla[/name], just my style. But I actually would find it more refreshing and unexpected to meet a baby [name]Camilla[/name].

I prefer [name]Camilla[/name] to the one ‘l’ version. [name]Amelia[/name] is the one name that doesn’t matter to me how popular it is, I’ll still love it regardless (maybe because it is one of the names I was almost given, so I’m partial).

I would pronounce them both cam-ILL-uh. I prefer [name]Amelia[/name], but agree it’s become so popular that [name]Camilla[/name] - though not a name I like - would actually be a welcome change! Sorry, nearly confused myself there

well, if you like both, what about [name]Camellia[/name]? it’s a beautiful flower name that i really love.
anyway, i prefer [name]Camilla[/name] spelling.

p.s. love [name]Camille[/name].

I know a [name]Camilla[/name]. Pronounces it “Cah-MILL-ah.” Preppy, blonde, always put-together, sweet as can be. I like the name. Makes me think of blonde hair and chamomile.

[name]Camilla[/name] = cah-mill-uh, [name]Camila[/name] = cah-meel-uh
I prefer [name]Camilla[/name] over [name]Amelia[/name]
I also like [name]Camellia[/name]
