I personally would use [name_u]Camille[/name_u] on the birth certificate and nickname her [name_f]Cammie[/name_f]. [name_f]Cammie[/name_f] is sweet, but naming her [name_u]Camille[/name_u] would give her further options for when she is older.
Cammie sounds like a nickname. I would go with [name_u]Camille[/name_u], and call her [name_f]Cammie[/name_f] (or [name_f]Cami[/name_f]) as a nickname if you want.
I always picture names on resumes, wedding invitations, graduation announcements, business email signatures, etc. and I think [name_u]Camille[/name_u] works better in these scenarios.
Camille nn [name_f]Cammie[/name_f] as others have said is gorgeous. I think it’s lovely to give kids a ‘full’ name that sounds sophisticated for later life and in the work place and a nn that they can use as a kid or just in their everyday lives xoxo
I prefer [name_f]Cammie[/name_f] as just a nickname for [name_u]Camille[/name_u], a name I really love. But actually the [name_u]French[/name_u] pronunciation of [name_u]Camille[/name_u] is Ca-MEE , so you could totally use it and still call her [name_f]Cammie[/name_f]!
