Is Camrose too trendy/made-up sounding? It’s a place (in [name_f]Alberta[/name_f], [name_f]Canada[/name_f]) but doesn’t even have its own name page. I like both the nicknames [name_u]Cam[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but does putting them together just sound bad??
I like the look of the name, but it sounds a bit too much like camera for my liking. It also makes me think of [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], so the name seems a little masculine to me.
I prefer [name_u]Penrose[/name_u].
It’s not something I’d use myself, but I can see the appeal, as it feels quite “name-y”. I agree that it feels a bit masculine due to the similarity to [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m].
I’m not familiar with the place, so to me, it sounds exactly like you just liked the nicknames [name_u]Cam[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and smashed them together.
I don’t mind it. Sounds like a smoosh name, yeah, but I love that it’s an actual place name. If that place has significance to you, I think it’s a fine choice. And two good nickname options built in.
