Camryn?

I have no problem with [name_m]Cameron[/name_m] on a girl myself. Think [name_m]Cameron[/name_m] [name_m]Diaz[/name_m]!

Personally, I don’t really understand the idea of using y to make a name ‘more feminine’. What is more feminine about y over other letters [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]In[/name_m] Welsh, -yn often indicates a masc name whereas -en indicates a fem one, so mileage really does vary by culture.

‘Alternatively-spelled’ names, particularly with y’s, do attract some negative attention for being ‘trendy’. I think they also get associated (judgementally) with certain demographics in the US [name_f][/name_f]- as a [name_f]Brit[/name_f], I see these kinds of names as very ‘American’ but don’t necessarily have the nuance beyond that.

Leaving all that aside, I actually think [name_f]Camryn[/name_f] is pretty and if that’s the spelling you like, and you’re aware of the context, why not!
