Can anyone convince me to like the name Greer?

Other than the fact that I dislike non-family surname names, what is the attraction of [name]Greer[/name]?

I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just curious as to why so many people seem to be drawn to this name.

So why do you like/dislike the name?

I’m with you on this one. I would honestly like to hear from people who love it though, just to know what some find appealing about it.

Bleh! I don’t like that one at all.

[name]Grady[/name] is another one I don’t see the appeal in.

I agree… I can’t understand how anyone can imagine it as an attractive name, much less a feminine one! Let alone the fact that it’s a surname, it just has an ugly sound-- ‘greer’. Plus it reminds me of gear, leer, rear, groan, grim, gruel and beer… If my name was [name]Greer[/name], I would change it. Sorry, and no offense to anyone who likes or is named [name]Greer[/name]!

I think [name]Greer[/name] is like Harlowe. It fits the old movie star naming trend. [name]Greer[/name] [name]Garson[/name] was a movie star from the 1930s. She starred in movies such as Goodbye, Mr Chips and Mrs. Miniver. She won an [name]Oscar[/name] for Mrs. Miniver.

Not sure if that helps you like it, but if I were to choose that name , it would be because of her.
