Love the name Arthur but I’m not huge on the nn Artie. Is Archie too much of a stretch?

I think I’ve seen [name_m]Archie[/name_m] mentioned as a nickname for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] on the forums once or twice, and considering it’s only one sound away from [name_m]Artie[/name_m], I don’t think it’s too big of a stretch! If [name_m]Bill[/name_m] works for [name_m]William[/name_m] I don’t see why this couldn’t.

[name_f]My[/name_f] uncle’s name is [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] but he goes by [name_m]Arch[/name_m] so I definitely think it works

I think it could work  (kind of like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_m]Frankie[/name_m] work)

I know a family who, for like 7 generations, is Arthur’s nicknamed [name_m]Archie[/name_m]. So to me yeah, it totally works.
