I’ve been crushing on the nn [name]Addy[/name] and the full name [name]Astrid[/name] lately, and I didn’t think to put them together until today. I think the nn [name]Addy[/name] softens the more out-there feel of [name]Astrid[/name]. WDYT?
Thanks!

It seems a little bit of a stretch to me but probably not most nameberries, I like both names though! You might like the name Astérie.
However it also means starfish but its a legit name
I agree with pp, It does seem like a stretch to me as well. If I met an [name]Addy[/name], [name]Astrid[/name] wouldn’t even cross my mind as a possibility for her full name. BUT I don’t necessarily think nns always need to make logical sense, so if that’s what you would feel comfortable and natural calling her then I don’t see why not! I do like the name [name]Astrid[/name] though.
If I wanted to use the nn [name]Addy[/name], I would choose something like [name]Adele[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name] or [name]Ada[/name]! But that’s just me
I think [name]Addy[/name] works fine as a nickname for [name]Astrid[/name].
I think it works fine. There are a lot of nicknames that have nothing to do with the full name. I like it
Never would have thought of it, but I think [name]Astrid[/name] “[name]Addy[/name]” would be adorable. Where [name]Astrid[/name] is serious and mature, [name]Addy[/name] is quirky and playful.
I think it works very nicely! [name]Addy[/name] really livens up [name]Astrid[/name] My only problem with [name]Astrid[/name] is the first syllable and that there were no NNs to avoid that, but you have found a way that really works!
It is a bit of a stretch, but I think it can work!
I love [name]Astrid[/name], by the way. It’s one of my favorite names!
I think [name]Addy[/name] is a perfect nn for [name]Astrid[/name], even though it might be a little bit of a stretch its better than any off nn’s I can think of- Assy or Tridy…yuck!
