I love the name [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], particularly with the nn [name_f]Della[/name_f]. I know it is a very feminine girly name, but I worry that it wouldn’t be taken seriously because of this.
For instance, I feel like some names (such as my other favourite [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]) are girly, but still have a serious undertone to them.
However, can you imagine a Dr. [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] or Professor [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]? A [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] that is socially quiet and a bookworm? Sometimes I think I can but it does make me doubt the name!

Yep, I can. But I am also a strong believer that a name doesn’t make a person so this would be my answer to every name.

Of course! Dr. [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and Professor [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] only sound silly because if she were either of those things, she’d be going by her last name, not her first 
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is a cute name, and she’ll make it her own.
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] can be anyone she wants to be. It’s a beautiful name and I would absolutely see a Dr. [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]!
I’m in agreement with everyone else! I can imagine many types of people with the name [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. My legal name tends to have a cheerleader type image associated with it (same thing with my friend’s name), and it hasn’t led to anyone not taking me seriously.
