Can Eliza go with Henry?

Trying to get my list of baby names together for the next round and one of our top contenders is [name]Eliza[/name] for a girl, my husband’s great grandmother’s name. I love it. The issue is that we already have a son named [name]Henry[/name]. Is this in the same ballpark as putting names say, [name]Fred[/name] and [name]Wilma[/name] together in the same batch of siblings? I just don’t want to get my heart set on it and then to say, oh no, I wasn’t naming all my children after the cast of “My Fair Lady!”

Any other suggestions to go wtih [name]Henry[/name] for a girl? My husband hates every name that I have mentioned apart from [name]Alice[/name] or [name]Jane[/name]. Middle name is supposed to be [name]Beatrice[/name], (husband’s grandmother’s middle name and homage to my grandmother, [name]Bernice[/name]) except with [name]Alice[/name], which I feel is too matchy. We have a 3 syllable surname, ending with -son (one of the classics you hear from time to time, but not in the ranks of [name]Smith[/name] or [name]Jones[/name]). Help, please! I also love [name]Evangeline[/name] as a middle name, but this might be too long with our surname. Thoughts on [name]Eliza[/name]? Other suggestions?

My other favorites:

[name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Liliana[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Dinah[/name]
[name]Maisie[/name]
[name]Mireille[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Veronica[/name]

I personally think that [name]Eliza[/name] goes great with [name]Henry[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are solid classic names that will never go out of style [name]IMO[/name]. I wouldn’t worry too much about the “My Fair Lady” connection. I didn’t even think of that until you pointed it out.

From your alternate list of names (should you choose to go that route), I love [name]Annabel[/name] the best. [name]Henry[/name] & [name]Annabel[/name] sound just darling together.

[name]Happy[/name] naming & good luck to you!

I love [name]Eliza[/name] with [name]Henry[/name]!!! I did not make the ‘My Fair Lady’ connection at all. They sound so good together.

[name]Annabel[/name], [name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Liliana[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Lila[/name] all sound good with [name]Henry[/name] too in my opinion. I particularly like [name]Henry[/name] with [name]Eloise[/name], but [name]Eliza[/name] is my favorite.

Well I’m in my [name]Early[/name] 2o’s and have never heard of My Fair Lady. So I’m sure many of younger adults may not have heard of it or don’t know the cast names. So I think you fine. [name]Eliza[/name] is cute btw.

I aslo like
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Veronica[/name]

unless you are known as a huge My Fair Lady fan, i wouldn’t worry about it

[name]Henry[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] are definitely familiar enough to escape being thought of as an homage to anything or anybody

Plus they go beautifully together

perfection!

I think [name]Eliza[/name] can most definitley go with [name]Henry[/name]!

[name]Even[/name] with My Fair Lady, you are just fine. [name]Eliza[/name] is absolutley gorgeous!!!

I did think of My Fair Lady right away, sorry. But you may decide that it won’t come up often enough for it to bother you. They are a great pair of names! And I love [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name].

I am a teenager and we just watched and read My Fair Lady for school, so when I saw [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] together I immediately thought of My Fair Lady. But most people probably wouldn’t get the connection unless they just studied it like me.

I am an [name]Eliza[/name] and I get My Fair Lady reference all the time and there isn’t a [name]Henry[/name] around. It’s b/c its an usual name (or was…lol) Another reference is Hole in the Bucket Dear [name]Eliza[/name]. But none of the references have ever bothered me. I love my name.

People named their children [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] before My Fair Lady, its a wonderful sibset.

[name]How[/name] funny! I just posted on another thread about a sibset I know with kids named [name]Henry[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Josie[/name], and [name]Leo[/name]! I gave it my “Best Named Family” first place award! I think they sound lovely together, and a think the My Fair Lady reference isn’t too obvious and doesn’t even compare to how beautiful they are when paired with each other.

( I didn’t read the other posts besides the original posters, so sorry if my comments are completely unhelpful at this stage in the game. [name]Just[/name] thought I’d lend my knowledge  )
