Can Emma Taylor be a double name?

Do you think that Emma Taylor could be a double name? Also, would you hyphenate it, Emma-Taylor or just use Emma Taylor like a first and middle name?

Since Taylor is a surname, I’d feel weird putting it in a double first name. If someone said “I’m Emma Taylor” I’d assume their first name is Emma and their last name is Taylor. If they said “I’m Emma Taylor [surname]” I’d assume that their surname is hyphenated.
I don’t like it, it’s not my style. I definitely wouldn’t hyphenate it, though.

Emma Taylor grew on me the more I said it

I think it works! I can totally picture a girl going by Emma Taylor as a double name. I wouldn’t hyphenate it, personally.

Emma Taylor definitely works! I prefer it as first and middle (even if using it as a double name) rather than hyphenated, but that’s just my personal preference.

I would also think it’s a surname like @venezio said, but it could definitely work!

I also agree that it shouldn’t be hyphenated. My favorite idea is doing it the way @dandy_orchid suggested by having her go by first and middle. Emma Taylor really is so charming! I think it’s a unique combo for a double name and I love that.

I like it! Working with kids, I’d hyphenate it because sometimes attendance sheets cut off longer names or they’re misread as a first and two surnames, and then the second name gets dropped off  A hyphen shows that the two are meant to go together and if something gets cut off, at least the educator knows that Emma-Tay(cut offs usually go here) isn’t just Emma, and will/can ask what the rest of her name is, if that makes sense?

I think it would work. I’d hyphenate it though, to avoud [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] sounding like her last name.
