hi i would say im new here but i have been on this site almost non-stop for months now so im not. I’ve been obsessing over having a baby and for some strange reason and me and my boyfriend have been discussing baby names for the future. I didn’t want to post anything until we are actually TTC-ing but i just can’t wait for some feedback on our names so far, for that long i need your opinions :slight_smile:

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] this name. It’s beautiful and classic and comes with tons of nn options. Plus it has meaning for you since you dreamt about it. I would go for it.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - Pretty but I’m not a fan of the meaning.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] - I like it a lot, especially as a middle name
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]- ditto [name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Nina[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Nina[/name_f] but it feels incomplete to me. More like a nickname than a full name
[name_f]Posey[/name_f]- A little too cutesy on its own, but I like it as an nn for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - Like
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]- Very pretty, but I agree with you about the nicknames. I
[name_u]Blair[/name_u] - I like [name_u]Blair[/name_u] too, I think this would make a great middle name as well
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] - Like. Its pretty, easy to pronounce and has an exotic flair, at least from an American stand point

[name_u]Jesse[/name_u] - NMS but a very “cool” name
[name_u]Harley[/name_u] - It s cute on a little boy but I can’t picture it on an adult
[name_u]Chase[/name_u] - It’s okay. I like it better as a middle name
[name_m]Cormac[/name_m] - Reminds me of [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] McLaggen from [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], who I didn’t like but I guess it’s okay.

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]----Gorgeous, especially with a short, vintagey mn.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] ----I think it’s lovely, but extremely popular.

[name_f]Nina[/name_f]- also in love----Personally, not a fan of this. It’s the Spanish word for girl. Extremely popular/common.

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]----[name_f]LOVE[/name_f]. short, sweet, old fashioned in a good way!

[name_u]Blair[/name_u]- in love—Too popular to be my cup of tea.

So, if I had to name your children for you, I’d pick [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] for your little girl and [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_u]Chase[/name_u] or [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_m]Nathan[/name_m] for your little man. :slight_smile:

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] – Not a huge fan. I don’t find it bad or anything, just not my style at all.
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] – Similar to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] for me.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] – I kind of like this one, but wouldn’t use it myself.
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] – I like this name a lot, but have always thought of it as more masculine. I like it better as a middle in either case.
[name_f]Nina[/name_f] – This is cute, but to me doesn’t seem like a full name. I would go with something like “[name_f]Antonina[/name_f]” or similar and then use “[name_f]Nina[/name_f]” as a fulltime nickname.
[name_f]Posey[/name_f] – [name_m]Just[/name_m] no. “A pocket full of posey.” Trying to ward off the black death? …I didn’t think so. It’s just too morbid for me.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] – I kind of like this one. Definitely ready for a comeback.
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] – Not a fan.
[name_u]Blair[/name_u] – It’s okay.
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] – Not my style.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - I agree completely with you. I love [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but hesitate to use it because of its popularity. It is a beautiful name, quaint and smart. But if you really adore it, don’t let the numbers stop you. It’s important that you love the name you pick. (:

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] - Also a beautiful name. It’s recognizable, but not overused. Ceci/[name_f]Cece[/name_f] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] are cute nns.

[name_f]Willow[/name_f] - Very pretty, though I prefer [name_f]Willa[/name_f] myself. Would be a very pretty mn!

[name_u]Sage[/name_u] - I prefer this on a boy, but don’t mind it in the mn spot for a girl. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u] would be very pretty!

[name_f]Nina[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Nina[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s incomplete, but I do know the feeling. Could be a nn for [name_f]Antonina[/name_f] or [name_f]Penina[/name_f].

[name_f]Posey[/name_f] - I think it’s a little cutesy on its own. If you don’t like [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], it could also be a nn for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophie[/name_f].

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - Very pretty and old-fashioned.

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f]! Means “daughter of the sea,” which I adore. <3 I would love to meet a little girl with this name. Nicknames could be Cory, Cora, Delia, Del, or Lia.

Blair - definitely nms, but not a bad name at all. It needs a girly mn to balance it out. Blair Cecilia or Blair Penelope?

Zara - are you pronouncing this like Sara with a Z or like ZAH-rah? Either way, it’s a nice name, though nms. (:

Emmett - very handsome, though not my favorite.

Nathan - Not my favorite name, mostly for personal reasons. Nothing wrong with the name itself though.

Damien - my favorite of your boy names. I had Damien Scott on my list last summer.

Jesse - Don’t like it for personal reasons.

Harley - A little too trendy for my taste.

Chase - nms

Cormac - Handsome. I’ve never met anyone named this. I like it!

I absolutely love [name_f]Nina[/name_f]. It’s such a sleek, sophisticated, feminine name, very international. [name_f]Nina[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] would make a beautiful combination. From your boy’s list, I like [name_m]Cormac[/name_m], [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], though none are as perfect as [name_f]Nina[/name_f].
