I personally prefer [name_u]Finn[/name_u] over [name_m]Harrison[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] “[name_u]Finn[/name_u]”?
I like both names for different reasons. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is a “cool” name. It’s seems to be gaining popularity so fast that it could be considered a trendy name. If that bothers you, go with [name_m]Harrison[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] because it seems more down-to-earth. He’s the good kid who is friends with everyone.
[name_u]Finn[/name_u] Hinchley and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] Hinchley are both quite rhymey.
Neither are terrible and if the rhyming doesn’t bother you, then go for it.
With [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Welch[/name_m] Hinchley the N’s and the Ch’s together.
[name_f]My[/name_f] suggestion would be [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Jamison[/name_u] Hinchley.
I love [name_u]Finn[/name_u], but [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and Hin- rhyme, and [name_m]Welch[/name_m] and Hinch are similar. So the combo is a bit off for me. I voted for [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u].
I like @kala_way’s suggestion of [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Jameson[/name_u]. If [name_u]James[/name_u] is a family name, [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] can still work to honor. But then you still have the rhymey [name_u]Finn[/name_u]-Hin.
What about [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] Hinchey, nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u]?? I love this idea, because [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] kind of combines [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m].
Although I’m not usually a fan of alliterative names, I prefer [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] Hinchey. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is a nice name, but [name_u]Finn[/name_u] Hinchey rhymes, which could lead to teasing.
I agree with what has been said above about the rhyming. I love both names [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] but just not with your last name.
Since you like [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] I would suggest:
[name_m]Ferguson[/name_m]
[name_m]Dawson[/name_m]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_u]Reed[/name_u]
[name_u]Tate[/name_u]
[name_u]Reeve[/name_u]
[name_u]Keaton[/name_u]
[name_m]Prescott[/name_m]
And I think all of the FN options would go great with MN [name_u]James[/name_u]!!!
Best of [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!!!
That’s a great idea! I had never thought of “[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]”
Out of your options I prefer [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], but also like the suggestion of [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
I definitely prefer [name_u]Finn[/name_u] (Which i don’t think rhymes with Hinchey). I don’t like [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] at all. [name_m]Welch[/name_m] is ok, [name_u]James[/name_u] is better.
Other [name_u]Finn[/name_u] ideas:
[name_m]Finnegan[/name_m]
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
Is it possible to use [name_u]James[/name_u] as the first name? Or is [name_u]James[/name_u] your DH’s name? I love [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] Hinchey. It seems to flow much more naturally than [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] Hinchey.
Have you considered just [name_m]Harris[/name_m]? [name_m]Harris[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] Hinchey works well.
I think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is okay with Hinchey, as long as it’s a nickname for either [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] or [name_m]Finnigan[/name_m]. That way the written form looks a little less rhyme-y, and mostly people will just be calling “[name_u]Finn[/name_u]” aloud, not “[name_u]Finn[/name_u] Hinchey!”
Thank-you for the suggestion @emsky Finnighan is a great idea for the full name. I can see what you are saying about the rhyming. We are thinking [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] (family name) Hinchey might work a bit better. But yes–then you still have the “finn” “Hinn”.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] @mulme944,
Thank-you very much for the suggestions! You are right [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] Hinchey does flow much better!
We could use it as a first name potentially. We just really like the first names [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u]–the middle names we were totally open to.
I really like your suggestion to just use “[name_m]Harris[/name_m]” if we go with the [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] option.
Also I agree–and thank-you for your suggestion to use [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] if we go with [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. Like you said that way we would just be calling him “[name_u]Finn[/name_u]” outloud–not [name_u]Finn[/name_u] Hinchey!
