Can I pull this sibset together?

So, I know that my kids names don’t really go together. When we named our daughter my husband and I decided that we were just going to go with a name we loved rather than stressing too much over the the way the whole set sounds. We aren’t even planning on trying for a 3rd baby yet (though I’m sure we will in the not too far off future), but I already find myself thinking about the name chaos that is coming our way. What do you think is the best way to go name-wise for a 3rd?

Our son is [name]Reid[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name] and our daughter is [name]Helena[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] (nn [name]Nell[/name]). I feel like most the names I think of make one kid or the other the odd man out. [name]Do[/name] I name a third baby something equally different from the first two? [name]Muse[/name] with me…

I think [name]Reid[/name], [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] go well together if it’s a girl.
If it’s a boy, I like [name]Helena[/name], [name]Reid[/name] & [name]William[/name] nn [name]Liam[/name].

[name]Reid[/name] and [name]Helena[/name] are both unique with a classical twist. I think there are tons of names that would work great with them.

[name]Coraline[/name]
[name]Aveline[/name]
[name]Geneva[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Corinne[/name]
[name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Coralie[/name]

[name]Finn[/name]
[name]Jude[/name]
[name]Hudson[/name]
[name]Tate[/name]
[name]Pierce[/name]

Many parents like one style for their girls and another for their sons so don’t get stressed about it because you’re not alone. The only advice I would give you is to avoid anything unisex or boyish for a second daughter. I’ll give you a few examples that would work well.

Names like [name]Helena[/name]: [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Antonia[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Alice[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Theodora[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name]/[name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Corinna[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Sonia[/name], [name]Willa[/name]

Names like [name]Reid[/name]: [name]Spencer[/name], [name]Harrison[/name], [name]James[/name], [name]Graham[/name], [name]Douglas[/name], [name]Charles[/name], [name]Joseph[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Griffin[/name], [name]Gareth[/name], [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Bennett[/name], [name]Miles[/name], [name]Duncan[/name], [name]Oscar[/name], [name]Walter[/name]

Good luck”

I don’t really care about opposite gender children having the same style. So boy [name]Rocky[/name] & girl [name]Anastasia[/name] is fine, but girl Roxxie & girl [name]Anastasia[/name] is a mismatch

I don’t feel [name]Reid[/name] & [name]Helena[/name] are that strikingly different. I’d stick with 1 or 2 syllable names for a boy and longer names for a girl
[name]Graham[/name]
[name]Grant[/name]
[name]Dexter[/name]
[name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Drake[/name]

[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Ophelia[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name]

You all are the best. You make me feel so much better

I looove [name]Penn[/name] & [name]Drake[/name]. The only quasi problem is that my husband went to the University of Pennsylvania. Since it kind of makes me want to roll my eyes a little bit, I’m concerned about the reaction  We were going to use [name]August[/name] (nn [name]Gus[/name]) for [name]Helena[/name] if she had been a boy.

I also really like a bunch of the names that end in -a for another girl, but I was worried about painting myself into a corner (with yet a fourth child…I know, I know. Completely crazy, borrowing worry)

I am loving the name [name]Ayelet[/name] quite a bit lately.

[name]Reid[/name] and [name]Nell[/name] do not seem miss matched at ALL. I like [name]Penn[/name] a lot. The pennsylvania uni thing doesn’t bother me at all, you are over thinking this part. Although [name]Drake[/name] sounds fine in the sibset it just seems like its trying to hard where as [name]Reid[/name] and [name]Nell[/name] are casually unique. I also like [name]August[/name]. I have 2 girls with names that end in A and like u i worried that i painted myself in a corner. HOwever if i have another girl i would not hesitate to use a different ending.
