My cousin just named her daughter [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], nickname, [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. My husband and my favorite girl name is [name_f]Millie[/name_f]. I feel like we aren’t able to use the name because they have used it. Am I silly for feeling that? Or do I just buck up and use it because we love it?
I think it depends on how close you are. If their [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and your [name_f]Millie[/name_f] will be spending a lot of time together it might get confusing. If, however, you only see one another occasionally (weddings, funerals, a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] here and there) and you really do love the name, I say go for it.
Also, you might have better luck posting in one of these other threads:
