Can I Use This?

Wondering if I can use [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] with ”ine/[name_f]Anya[/name_f] in a story. I’m going back and forth. I love [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] because it’s Dutch and spunky (I pronounce it uh-NOOK). But I’m worried it’s too close to [name_f]Anya[/name_f] (AHN-yuh).

I can’t change [name_f]Anya[/name_f], because I love how it has both Irish (”ine) and Russian ([name_f]Anya[/name_f]) roots, which is what I’m looking for in the character. I will probably be writing it [name_f]Anya[/name_f] for pronunciation clarification.

So unless I find another name that’s both Irish and Russian, or a Dutch name I love, I will be using [name_f]Anouk[/name_f] and [name_f]Anya[/name_f] together. Are they too similar? Other suggestions? I need help!

EDIT: They are not related, but they are best friends and are both main characters. Anya is the principal character, though.

Are they related? Are they both main characters? [name_m]Will[/name_m] one be appearing more than the other?
I think if they are both main characters, even as sisters, they’d be fine. If one appeared way more than the other, they’d be fine, too. However, if they are both sort of background characters, that only appear every once in a while, they might be a bit confusing.

Shoot! I accidentally erased part of the post. My computer is being difficult. No, they are not related, but they are main characters and best friends. Thanks!
