Can Maizie have a sister named Hazel?

We are having our third girl and absolutely cannot agree on any names except [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]. Big sisters are [name_f]Maizie[/name_f] and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] and I can’t get over how similar [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Maizie[/name_f] are to each other. My second favorite is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and my husband likes [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] but neither of us can get on board with the other names. Can [name_f]Maizie[/name_f] have a sister name [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] or is it too similar?

Sure, why not? I don’t think they are that close.

As long as you don’t call her Hazy, I don’t think they’re too close.

Absolutely!! I think it’s your sibset is adorable!!!

Well, I don’t know if they are too close, but I do think you will accidentally end up saying Maizel and [name_f]Hazie[/name_f] when you call them. If that doesn’t drive you nuts, then they work for you! I have twin students called [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] and [name_m]Kelvin[/name_m] and THAT is definitely what I call too close. I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]! What about [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], then she will have so many cool nicknames, including [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]El[/name_f].

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Maizie[/name_f] sound super cute together! I think they work nicely as siblings, and are in the same style, but not too similar.

They’re too similar

Thanks everyone!! So far we are staying with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] but I’m going to keep mentioning [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and maybe [name_f]Helena[/name_f] too…
