Thank you for all of the help! It was suggested I add some names we liked to help with direction so I thought I would put those here. There are quite a few but I am really having a hard time pairing them for girl twins and getting a good combination and flow.
A few preferences:
Nothing gender-neutral, something definitely girl
Nothing that starts with B, L, or S
Something reasonably short, we have a long last name
The two names don’t start with the same letter
Nothing too oddball or really unusual
Some name ideas:
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] (probably too popular at this point)
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsie[/name_f])
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] (again, popular)
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] (my name is [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and is it really annoying they rhyme?)
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Ella[/name_f])
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u]
[name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Addie[/name_f])
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f])
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_m]Just[/name_m] to let you know [name_u]Emery[/name_u] (like [name_u]Avery[/name_u] in your other thread) is a unisex name.
Some pairs I love from your new list:
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
and though I’m personally not as fond of the names I think these pairs work well:
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (I don’t think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f] will be problematic) and [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u]
new suggestions:
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Avalyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Carina[/name_f]
[name_f]Eva[/name_f] and [name_f]Maya[/name_f]
Here are my favourite pair ups…
[name_f]Julia[/name_f] & [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] & [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
A few more suggestions…
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] & [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] & [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] & [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] & [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] & [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
Good luck, and congratulations on your little ones!
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_f]Eva[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Audra[/name_f]? I love [name_f]Audra[/name_f] and I’ve never seen it used. It’s short, spunky, definitely 100% female.
Thanks for all of the great suggestions! There are so many that I like. I was hoping for [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] for middles but may not work with every name. Any other combinations / ideas appreciated.
Thanks!
I really love [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], although I do prefer the nicknames [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f] for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is a very cute nn for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
Thanks for all the ideas! I liked some of the original suggestions as well. I’m torn between going more traditional / classic or something a little more unique. We already have a [name_m]Landon[/name_m] and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] and I’m not sure with which style their names fit better? I don’t want the names to sound divided, like we aren’t all the same family! Thank you for any input or suggestions.
From your list, I like:
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] “[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]” [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
All of the names on your short list seen to go well with your boys’ names: classy, not-too-popular but not unheard of.
I like the combination of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I haven’t actually run into any little Amelias, and don’t personally think it’s too popular, but that’s up to you. I also like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is about as popular as [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but I love [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] as a less-common nickname.
One of my all-time favorite combos is [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] with [name_f]Nora[/name_f] as a nickname, just throwing that out there.
So many good suggestions! I feel like I can start to eliminate some of the name options, there are a few that just seem a little sedate and less interesting. It’s a fine line between something classic and elegant and unique and interesting. What about [name_f]Coral[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Clara[/name_f]/[name_f]Claire[/name_f]? Does it feel too dusty and dated?
Thank you!
