Can these names stand on their own without a longer name? I’m really in love with nick namey names right now that aren’t too cutesy and less common. I can’t help it =x
I think that most of these names are actually full names, not nicknames. The only one I wold consider to need a longer name would be [name_f]Liv[/name_f], although I know many would disagree.
I think all those names can stand alone. They also can come from longer versions, but the shortened names are nice as well. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. Best of luck!
[name_f]Liv[/name_f] is the only one that I feel is not a full name. I am on the fence about [name_f]Mila[/name_f]. The rest can all be used as full names or are full names.
In a word: yes. They’re mostly names with a history of use sans a full name ([name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], etc.) The only ones I think are a bit iffy are [name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], and [name_f]Edie[/name_f] (although I love [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] a thousand times more than [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], and much prefer [name_f]Edie[/name_f] to [name_f]Edith[/name_f].)
I don’t really like [name_f]Sally[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] on their own, but if you’re going to call her that anyway, you might as well make it the full name.
It means “life” in all the Scandinavian languages and is a full name. But if you’re coming from an English-speaking country I suppose this might sound like using [name_f]Liz[/name_f] as a full name.
