Can we use Ellie and Lillie?

So me and my boyfriend were talking about baby names today.
He has mentioned a few times about how much he loves the name ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]’.
I don’t mind the name [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], in fact it was my favourite name when I was younger.
But currently (and has been for the last 5 years) my favourite name is ‘[name_f]Lillie[/name_f]’ but I know feel like I can’t use both as they are both ending in ‘llie’. I have my heart set on that spelling of [name_f]Lillie[/name_f].
I would probably use [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as a nickname for something yet still call her [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] but I don’t know if it’s usable.

What do you think? Are [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillie[/name_f] usable together?

I personally don’t think there’s anything wrong with using names with similar endings. Both [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lillie[/name_f] are adorable names and they go well together. They’d be perfect for twins ”

If you did have concerns you could always use [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Elena[/name_f] as a full name and then use [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] as a nickname.

I think it would be fine.

I wouldn’t use them in the same name, but as separate names for siblings I think they’re fine. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] can be a shortened form of sooooo many names, so like a previous poster say, you could always use an [name_f]El[/name_f]- name and just call her [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].

I wouldn’t use them together. Very matchy and what if there is another sister?

A little too close for my personal taste, but totally usable together. Especially if [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] (and/or [name_f]Lillie[/name_f]) is a nickname for something without the “-llie” ending.
