Can you imagine these on an adult?

We’ve been obsessed with [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], and [name_f]Marla[/name_f] lately, but are not sure which one should be “it”. We love [name_f]Mia[/name_f] because of it’s soft and sweet sound, [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] for its meaning and sounding, and [name_f]Marla[/name_f] for its uniqueness and how it’s really uncommon but still very easy to pronounce.
So, what do you guys think?

I know adults with all of these names and it’s totally fine. McKenzie Westmore wears her name really well.

I would ask whether you want a nickname or not, because there’s a good chance [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] will be called [name_m]Mack[/name_m] or [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u]. Whereas [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Marla[/name_f] don’t really lend themselves to one. Also, [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is pretty popular at #6, so I’d definitely take that into consideration.

I can imagine them all on adults. [name_f]Marla[/name_f] is my favourite of the three

Also, no offence on the [name_f]Maya[/name_f] pronunciation part, it’s some personal issue.

Also, do you guys think [name_u]Montana[/name_u] will be a good middle name for [name_f]Mia[/name_f] (and [name_f]Marla[/name_f]) ?

I’ve know grown women with all of these names so definitely yes!

[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] was fairly popular when I was a kid so all the girl Mackenzies I know are about my age (late 20s and early 30s).

I’ve met older women named [name_f]Mia[/name_f], women my age, teens, and grade school age girls. In that way it’s probably the most consistently popular (familiar but not trendy or dated.)

I’ve only know one [name_f]Marla[/name_f]. She’s my friend’s mom and is in her mid 50s.

As for [name_u]Montana[/name_u], I’m not a huge fan of alliterating names, double -a endings, or state names as given names ([name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] being exceptions because they have history as given names that predate being states.)
That being said, between [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Montana[/name_u] and [name_f]Marla[/name_f] [name_u]Montana[/name_u], I think [name_f]Marla[/name_f] sounds better.

They are all fine names. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is my favorite. I don’t like the alliteration of [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Montana[/name_u] or [name_f]Marla[/name_f] [name_u]Montana[/name_u] at all, sorry,

I can see them all on adults. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is a strong favorite.

My problem with [name_u]Montana[/name_u] is a mn is that I think of [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_u]Montana[/name_u]. Kids probably aren’t familiar with the show anymore though.

I adore [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. This is coming from one of the pickiest people when it comes to names. [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is beautiful… and [name_u]Montana[/name_u] just completely ruins it. Ditch [name_u]Montana[/name_u].

I am also not a fan of [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]. Each and every [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] I’ve known has always been a prissy little 8-13 year old with an annoying high-pitched voice that is reminiscent of nails on a chalkboard. I also have never met an adult [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] strangely.

[name_f]Marla[/name_f] is okay. This name can easily be imagined on an adult almost… too much per say that I’m getting mental images of an old woman.

Might I suggest you some names as well?

[name_u]Marley[/name_u]: Like [name_f]Marla[/name_f] but 10x cuter. I get images of rays of sunshine and beautiful, bouncy brown curls with a smile so wide it could power half a city.

[name_f]Marlo[/name_f] / [name_u]Marlow[/name_u] / [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]: I get different feels depending on how you spell this name;

[name_f]Marlo[/name_f] - Very classic, chic, all business with a “do not mess with me” vibe. I’m getting images of a sharp dressed woman, black & white luxury suit, and pin-straight brown hair.
[name_u]Marlow[/name_u] - This is more of a laid back version of the name. I’m getting country, tom-girl vibes. A girl whose not afraid to get a little dirty and does hard work. [name_m]Sharp[/name_m]-tongued. A force to be reckon with.
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u] - Big bookworm vibes. I get an image of girl in an armchair, messy hair tied up in a bun with fuzzy socks on and a giant pile of books stacked and surrounding her along the floor. Among the pile is [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m].

[name_u]Murphy[/name_u]: I absolutely love this name. It is the name of a character in my favorite movie of all time; Interstellar. [name_m]Just[/name_m] beautiful. I get images of a girl who loves science. Who looks up at the sky and dreams of exploring the stars. A girl who will do extraordinary things. [name_u]Murphy[/name_u]'s [name_m]Law[/name_m] states that anything that can happen, will happen.

Any of those names catch your eye?

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for so many adorable names!!!

No…[name_u]Montana[/name_u] is not a pretty name an unsuitable for a girl.

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] a winner, hands down.
[name_f]Marla[/name_f] is odd in an old-fashioned way like [name_f]Carla[/name_f] and [name_f]Darla[/name_f].
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is just horrible. Very immature.

I like [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Marla[/name_f], but [name_f]Marla[/name_f] wins because it’s much less popular.

I think [name_f]Marla[/name_f] [name_u]Montana[/name_u] is a very kicka$$ kind of name, it’s great.
