For the longest time, I was against naming my husband and I’s children with the “er” ending because of our last name (Boettcher, pronounced Bet-cher)…but now, we have fallen in love with the name Bridger. We love the double “B” sound and it’s not as clear cut for us whether it sounds too sing-songy. We’re currently thinking “Wyatt” or “Zayde” for a middle name. Thoughts?
**Edit: Thank you all for your feedback. I think I knew deep down that it just didn’t…flow…but was so caught up on the name because it was one both my husband and I really liked! I’ll just have to work on convincing him of the other names on my list

I keep saying it out loud, and to be honest it is a little too matchy for my own personal taste but if it doesn’t bother you, go for it!

It’s a bit much for me, sorry

I feel like those names sound kind of ridiculous together, sorry. I wouldn’t use [name_u]Bridger[/name_u] if I were you

This is a good question!
I’ve found this list on Pinterest to be really useful. It forces you to think about all the different practical uses of a name to gauge whether you want to commit to it.

NOPE- I’m sorry it just doesn’t… Work.

I think some -er name would work with your last name… but not Bridger.

I feel like some -er names can work with your surname, but not [name_u]Bridger[/name_u]. Sorry!
I agree with the other posters. I think you can pair -er names together, but [name_u]Bridger[/name_u] sounds much too close to Bet-cher. Perhaps something like [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] Bet-cher? [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] Bet-cher?
I agree that it’s a bit too much but I will say, if you were to have a girl, [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] sounds really beautiful with your surname!

I think if it starts and ends in the same letter/sound, it’s a bit much. Sorry.
