Can't decide between our top two names...

We have narrowed it down to [name]Brynn[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name] for our top two girl names, and we just can’t decide. We really like [name]Ellie[/name], but fear it is becoming too popular. And [name]Brynn[/name] is a family name. We are also having trouble with middle names. [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Kathryn[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name] [name]Rae[/name]? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You could combine the two into [name]Bryn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Brynn[/name] (nn [name]Ellie[/name]). [name]Just[/name] a thought.
I think both [name]Bryn[/name] and [name]Ellie[/name] are very cute. Are you set on those as full names or would you be open to using a more formal name? ([name]Brynna[/name], [name]Bryony[/name], [name]Briar[/name], [name]Brianna[/name], [name]Breona[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Eliana[/name], [name]Elaina[/name]/[name]Elaine[/name], [name]Elodie[/name]…)

Lately, I’ve been favoring giving longer formal names that the child can grow into.
That being said, here are some middle name combos off the top of my head:

[name]Bryn[/name] [name]Renee[/name]
[name]Bryn[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name]
[name]Bryn[/name] [name]Rochelle[/name]
[name]Bryn[/name] [name]Julia[/name]
[name]Bryn[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Bryn[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]

[name]Ellie[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
[name]Ellie[/name] [name]Kathryn[/name]
[name]Ellie[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Ellie[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Ellie[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Ellie[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name]/[name]Madelyn[/name]

[name]Love[/name] [name]Dove[/name]'s idea of [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
Also love [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] and
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Eloise[/name]

[name]Brynn[/name] is a beautiful name. I like [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] too.

I love [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]!

I cast an experts’ vote for [name]Brynn[/name]. It has more substance than [name]Ellie[/name], which is cute and perhaps not so popular on its own as it is a short form for and reminiscent of so many popular names, from [name]Eleanor[/name] to [name]Ella[/name] to the whole [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Gabriella[/name] contingent.

I strongly prefer [name]Brynn[/name] (esp. since it’s a family name).

Another vote for [name]Brynn[/name]. [name]Ellie[/name] sounds too much like a nickname. [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is gorgeous.

I definitely like [name]Brynn[/name] better- its one of my favorites! I think that [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] both sound fantastic!

[name]Brynn[/name], as [name]Ellie[/name] is very popular and too much of a nn, in my opinion, to stand on its own as a first name. If you truly love it, and popularity doesn’t bother you, I would go for [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Eloise[/name] etc. with the nn [name]Ellie[/name].

[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Marielle[/name]
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] (popular)
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] (popular)
[name]Brynn[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]

I prefer [name]Brynn[/name] to [name]Ellie[/name], too, but I love the suggestions of using [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Elodie[/name], etc., as sources of [name]Ellie[/name], and using [name]Brynn[/name] in the middle.

Good luck!

Thanks for all of your advice ladies. I think we’re definitely going to go with [name]Brynn[/name]!

My daughters name is [name]Ellie[/name] and I honestly cant say enough good things about it  It’s not super uncommon, but shes never had to be known as “[name]Ellie[/name] H.” in any of her classes or anything. It fits adorably on a baby, but definitely grows up with her. I say [name]Ellie[/name] all the way.
Good [name]Luck[/name]!
