After disgreeing for months about names, we finally have a short list for DS2. Would love feedback on your fave:

I love [name]Xavier[/name] and it has the same sound as [name]Oscar[/name]. I like the idea of having an ‘x’ name it’s quite unique. Only downside is that some might think you’re a big x-men fan! It also doesn’t have an obvious nn if you use nns.
I also love [name]Sebastian[/name] and think that works well with [name]Oscar[/name] too.
[name]Ronan[/name] is my least favourite and the one I think goes least well with [name]Oscar[/name]. Sounds very Irish to me and I would assume it was after [name]Ronan[/name] Keating (though I’m in UK and this may not be the case in the US)
[name]Sebastian[/name] gets my vote! I think it goes really well with [name]Oscar[/name].
I like [name]Sebastian[/name] best. I don’t think [name]Oscar[/name] and [name]Ronan[/name] are a natural fit, although to respond to the comment above, I live in the U.S. and have never heard of [name]Ronan[/name] Keating.
I dispise the name [name]Xavier[/name]…I hear it [name]Every[/name] where… the littleboy the parent is calling after is always acting like a brat.
I vote [name]Sebastian[/name].[name]Ronan[/name] is my favorite name and probably what I will use…I have only met one [name]Ronan[/name]…
I like [name]Sebastian[/name] the best. It has really cool nicknames ([name]Seb[/name] and [name]Ash[/name] being my favorites), and I think [name]Oscar[/name] (love your son’s name, btw!) and [name]Sebastian[/name] work together really well. I think they’re pretty much equal, popularity-wise, too.

I would normally vote for [name]Xavier[/name] in the number one spot as I’m a huge fan (nn is easy - Xav pro. Zav) but I really like [name]Sebastian[/name] alongside [name]Oscar[/name]. [name]Ronan[/name] just doesn’t fit on the same level for me.

For sure [name]Sebastian[/name]. I think [name]Xavier[/name] is nice, but maybe too matchy with Ocscar (er endings). Like some PPs, I don’t think [name]Ronan[/name] really fits into your style. Good luck!

No, no I think [name]Xavier[/name] deserves the first name spot. He is hip and modern, classic and relatively unusual I think he is much more todays boy than [name]Sebastian[/name] although I am fond of him too. [name]Ronan[/name] sorry doesnt mix with [name]Oscar[/name] as lovely as it is, however a daughter named [name]Rowena[/name] would be lovely.

My choice would be [name]Xavier[/name] then [name]Sebastian[/name]. I’m not mad about [name]Ronan[/name] TBH. I would also consider their shortened versions as this will probably end up happening especially at school… I love Xav for a boy (on my list if I had another boy).

I’m in the UK and names do get shortened a lot even if parents make a concerted effort to keep the long version!

I never know how to pronounce [name]Xavier[/name] when I see it on someone. I think ‘zavier’ is nice. I know a [name]Xavier[/name] pron. like [name]Javier[/name] (havier) which I don’t like, and I also don’t like EX(ecks)xavier pronunciation.
