Any suggestions for boy names that would go with sister [name]Matilda[/name]?
I don’t really know what I like in boy names, because I can’t come up with anything I particularly like. But in general I like things that are classic, nothing too out there, but also not too popular.
Here are some names I like for girls if that helps with the general style. The top contenders for girls are [name]Clara[/name], [name]Greta[/name], [name]Ramona[/name], [name]Agatha[/name], [name]Harriet[/name], [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Gwendolyn[/name], [name]Alice[/name]
Middle name would be Istvan (family name) but I am not too worried about if the first and middle sound great together.
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Felix[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Mateo[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Christian[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Tobias[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] (my fave)
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Orion[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Gavin[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Crispin[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Nathanial[/name]
Now, if you’re like me, then your boy style and girl style are totally different. I buck the trend and like my girl names classic and short and my boy names longer and more creative. You may have a totally different kind of boy name that you like.
I do like [name]Henry[/name], but have met a lot of baby Henrys lately. It makes me worry it may be too popular, but I guess if its one of the few boy names I like I could get over it.
[name]Jonas[/name] - I’ve been mulling over this name but am on the fence about it
[name]Charles[/name] - I like this, but worry that being in the [name]Boston[/name] area he will be ChAAAHlie. Also, maybe something I could get over. Speaking of pronunciation issues I like [name]Harry[/name] but worry about people (I’ve met quite a few) who pronounce it the same as Hairy.
[name]George[/name] - I also like [name]George[/name], though not sure if I could see myself using it
Oh I love [name]Matilda[/name]! [name]Clara[/name] was our pick if this one had been a girl and [name]Harriet[/name] was on our list too!
We have been going through the exact same thing - boys names are just SO hard for me. Here are a few ideas from our list and some that I like but couldn’t use because they didn’t go with our surname:
[name]Henry[/name] and [name]Felix[/name] (as already suggested)
[name]Tobin[/name]
[name]Rafferty[/name]
[name]Everett[/name]
[name]Ambrose[/name]
[name]August[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]/[name]Theo[/name]
[name]Miller[/name]
[name]Archer[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] this, but way too popular where I live
[name]Oscar[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name]
I was surprised to see [name]Laszlo[/name] on the Clunky but Cool boys name list. [name]Do[/name] people think this is really usable? I actually considered [name]Laszlo[/name] as I think it’s kind of cool, and also a family name but wonder if it’s too foreign, if that makes sense?
Sorry for repeats - I kept getting sidetracked and it took me so long to finish writing that lots of these had already been suggested by the time I hit reply!
